Resting isn't weakness - it's intelligence —
Sometimes rest IS the most productive thing we can do. Peaceful moments like this are a reminder that wolves are not what fear-based stories have made them out to be. Thank you @jaddavenport for this amazing capture.
This incredible footage shows a wolf family resting together after a successful hunt. Wolves often sleep for long stretches, up to 12 hours, after feeding. In this case, there’s likely more happening. The snow was soft and unstable during the day, making travel difficult. Waiting until nightfall, when colder temperatures harden the snow, allows wolves to move efficiently and conserve energy.
“Wolves deserve protection; not persecution.”
