“It takes time, sometimes years and years of effort to make something look effortless for a single moment” . . People see a dog do HEEL work like this, walking like a soldier watching their handler attentively and instantly WANT their dog to do this as well. What's not fully understood is the work needed and the follow up to achieve this. . . This is attributed to training of the highest level and having a dog meet you at the peak. A well trained dog comes with consistency, training and patience. It must be done over and over again, correctly at any cost, obviously without hurting the animal. . . Anything in life you want whether it be a house, car or mentality must come first with a vision, hard work and consistency - doing it over and over again til the wheels fall off. . . @dogtrainertoronto wrote a great write up on “METHODS AND TOOLS” used for training that I’d like everyone to read as he hits it on the head when it comes to this topic. . .
