I found this picture that I took in Kyjiw 2012 - a year before the people started protesting at the Majdan. It really made me think about our trip there. I was playing in a band back then and we did a couple of shows in Ukraine also in Charkiw and Lviv. We could feel the new and exciting times that were ahead already in the air. Back then people were experiencing oppression and corruption everywhere but they were not afraid of their government, of janukowytsch or putin. They made a difference. They protested for what they believed in. It is really devastating to see now and over time what patriarchy and war is doing to this beautiful place. We all have to help and Stop the war!
