I got the bright idea to edit some manga panels of Bakugou to make him look like Proto!Bakugou.

I feel robbed. Robbed!

He got Kirishima’s eyes because I thought they matched Proto!Bakugou the best, Kaminari’s mouth, and original eyebrows that I probably should have spent more time on.

My partner @iamabouttogoinsane requested something funny but I don't know how to make funny but they were OK with Angst too so... Yeah

During middle school proto!Katsu and Mikumo start to date, they're happy until Yami get sick, at first it was fine, it was just some days in the hospital for a diagnosis but the days becomes months, Mikumo was dying and Katsuki was nice boyfriend with a growing problem of anger, he became violent against anyone except Yami... This isn't gonna end good

two things Katsuki took pride in since they were kids: being the first to wish Yami a happy birthday,   and showing up under his balcony without notice so they’d hang out. Moving to the dorms won't take the magic away.

BakuDeku Miraculous Ladybug AU where their transformations are their prototypes

Katsuki Bakugou, exceptionally popular young model, and son of the famous fashion designer Mitsuki Bakugou. Harsh around the edges, he's brash and has quite the explosive temper. Very few people have the guts to get near him- attraction or not- but that only makes him even more alluring as a model and mini-celeberty.

However with the Miraclous, he treads a different path- one minorly because of his best (and only) friend, Eijirou Kirishima,'s comment about how 'he's only rude because he doesn't know how to flirt back.' That fueled a spite filled flirtatious persona, beaming with a smile for all to see. Of course, he's still the same Bakugou underneath, so he's headstrong and rude even when he thinks he's being nice (a common Protogou line used would be (Even someone as useless as you can do it!))

Izuku Midoriya runs a bakery with his single mom. He's far too shy to ever speak up, but he has a passion for design after seeing someone as young as him model so flawlessly. It became his personal goal to have Bakugou wear something of his design,,, but he doesn't even have the courage to stand up to bullies- let alone ask someone so out of his league for such a huge favor.

However with the Miraculous, he becomes the sarcastic, sassy little shit that he- and his right hand gal, Ochako Uraraka- always wanted him to be. Of course, his sleeplessness just had to translate into his transformation, so he constantly looks done with life. Even so, he's known for being to-the-point and decisive, always making the move- something the anxiety ridden Midoriya never felt like he could do.

Of course, Midoriya fell in love with Bakugou because the other inspired him to find his passion, and seeing the small smiles or warm eyerolls from the blond when he talks to Kirishima makes him so much more human.

Bakugou feel in love with Mikumo (Proto!Midoriya and his "Ladybug" transformation) because of his fearlessness. He always looks like he'd rather be anywhere else, but he's selfless, always rushing forward and helping anyone in need. That, and he doesn't take shit. (Bakugou once saw him talking to a cop, who was trying to tell him that he didn't have the authority to step in, about how he was legally in the right by stopping a rampaging akuma- that sealed the crush for him).

if you don't mind me asking, what is the protoverse?

Hello! Thank you for asking! No worries, I am happy to answer questions as best as I can.

The “protoverse” as I reference it as is talking about Hori’s first draft of MHA. I didn’t coin that name, but I can’t remember who did. The original story followed a quirkless character as he grows up to be a hero in a world filled with superhumans, basically. Hori’s editor thought that story would have been too bland and told him to create something better, so Hori made OFA and revised the main cast to be what their canon is now.

Mikumo “Yamikumo” Akatani = Izuku “Deku” MidoriyaKatsuki Bakugou/Gougou = canon KatsukiYuu Takeyama = Ochako UrarakaSuperhero / Valiant = All Might

Valiant was less of a dad figure and more of an absentee mentor to Yamikumo. He wasn’t meant to have the same role that All Might has. If my notes are right (and if someone knows more about this please correct me, I didn’t keep track of my sources) Yamikumo, Katsuki, and Yuu were supposed to be a hero trio. Yuu was supposed to have a much bigger role than she does now. Mt. Lady has the same name and quirk that Yuu had. Hori seemed to have recycled and evolved Yuu into Mt. Lady and Uraraka.

Katsuki was also very, very different!

That’s prototype Katsuki in the little doodle. He was meant to be sort of like Mirio, personality-wise. He and Yami also never had the same relationship as their canon counterparts, instead they remained good friends as they grew up. What a different story MHA could’ve been, right? 

That is pretty much the gist of it. Protoverse = beta version MHA. I’ve left out as much fanon as I could. Fanon has a lot of takes on all three of the protoverse main cast, but especially for Yamikumo and Katsuki. I wanted to leave fanon influence out so you could go nuts with how you wanna interpret the proto charas.
