MAJOR THROWBACK For today’s throwback, I want to share with you one of the few intellectual “properties” that nourished my journey into letters. I have kept this paper with me all these years and I believe I am the only person left with a copy - out of the many students who were present at the YCS Sectional Day of Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School, Makurdi, on Saturday, 15th February, 2003; exactly 17 YEARS, 5 MONTHS and 1 DAY today – when a young seminarian humbly walked in and delivered a very fine paper titled, “THE PLACE OF THE YOUTH IN A WORLD OF VIOLENCE”. I read the paper again last night and the paper clearly foretold the violence that has engulfed our nation today.
