I really hate anti sj rhetoric predicated on the premise that something racist in the states (or one country) isn't racist in another country and consequently it's a fake first world problem only privileged white liberals are concerned with. Like, no shit racism isn't a uniform experience on a global level, what's your point? Outright signifying how provincial it is doesn't make it less true. No countries share the exact same history. "This harms me emotionally and has been used to deny me jobs and other life opportunities." "Yeah, but that's not a problem for people in a different hemisphere. It must be a fake issue you made up."
