Everyone, again Thank you all 4 your help from the bottom of my heart!!! Tonight was yet another humbling night. I got to witness just how great our community is!!! A special thanks to Christi Simpson, Daniel Duckett,Cassandra Bolt, Patric Bates, and Alex Danger Younkin, and my sweet, patient, and amazing hubby Mitch Sowards,for sharing your talent and donating some incredible artwork, and sharing an amazing evening with us. Brett Kesler, Jack Garcia, Michael Bronson, Tosh Metzger (can't tag u here 4 some reason) , for all your help in making this event come together!! I LOVE my Provo Pride family. Erica Rose, Thank you again for sharing your wonderful skills and documenting this event the way it ought to be, and for a great night together, I LOVE U!!! My sweet PrincessRebecca Wendelboe (the bad ass Miss Dj Bad Kitty ) for sharing your beats!!! My drag sisters Linnox Green , and James Bunker for sharing the stage with me and killing it (as usual, Divine Sister-misters style). AndtoDean Judd, and his amazing team at Guru's Cafe, for graciously sharing the space, donating an incredible meal!!! Even I got full with goodness!!! Love you all! I am such a fan!!! And last but certainly not least, to all who attended, shared and enjoyed this wonderful evening with us!!! It's through your support that Provo Pride, and these events are a reality! Provo Pride is pleased to announce our 4th artist joining us at tomorrow Sunday, Aug. 9th's Art show and Dinner at Guru's (45 E Center St, Provo. at 4PM), the amazing Patric Bates! One of the most prolific artists in the valley, Patric’s reputation already precedes him. His work has been shown across the whole state and you can bet to find him present at art fairs, and any art related events. He started his art career doing ink sketches, and has evolved into doing more multimedia works of art. Most of Patric's current paintings are a mix of ink and watercolor. His pieces harken back to an age of innocence, while sometimes dealing with more complex subjects. His work is dreamlike, serene, and submerges you into an incredibly imaginative world. A closer inspection of one of the incredible characters in his pieces will reveal a tremendous amount of detail, and the skill in which he can portray emotional complexity. Patric Bates grew up in Utah County. He helps with art in his community and actively promotes local farmer markets and the selling of local goods. He is the father of three boys and currently lives in Provo, Utah. Don't miss this one of a kind event, complete with Dinner (provided generously by Guru's Cafe Provo) entertainment by The Divine Sister Misters, and an art show featuring more pieces by Patric, and our amazing artists.

Join us this Sunday for our Art Auction and dinner atGuru's Cafe Provo!! All proceeds will go towards the Provo Pride Fund. We'd like to welcome our 3rd featured artist, Mitch Sowards. Through a strong formalist approach, Mitch’s artwork deals with the simplest tools in visual arts. Space, lines, and the illusion of depth are some of the elements he plays with. His work is both obsessively rigourous, striving to achieve by hand a sort of machine made perfection , yet fun and whimsical, using unexpected materials in playful ways. Elusive patterns and rules are hidden in all his pieces, barely recognizable to the viewer, inviting you to discover them. Architecture, minimalism, and street art all have influenced his style. A native to Utah County, Mitch is a strong advocate for equality. He is a regular at Provo Pride events, along with his husband, our very own Feral Ann Wilde. He also works assisting his friends with mental disabilities and has been devoted for the last decade to ensure they have a presence in our community. Don't forget to get your tickets!! Guru's is providing an amazing meal and this event is gonna be off the hook.
