Unpopular opinion: Arcee's relationship with Prowl had better development, more impact and was more meaningful than the one with Ailreon.

God, I swear this is just shy of being an objective fact. Prowl/Arcee was so, so good, and they swept it under the rug just like everything else in Arcee's storyline.

Prowl and Arcee were broken, distrusting, dangerous people who nobody really liked, but were able to place their trust in each other because they understood each other. They understood each other so completely. Prowl was someone who treated Arcee like a person instead of a time bomb or that guy Jhiaxus experimented on, and Arcee understood why Prowl did a lot of the things he did and was willing to be right there with him doing these things while also setting very clear limits on what he was willing to do for Prowl.

They got each other. That's such a rare thing.

And when it ended -- clumsily as that was done -- it hurt them both and it hurt them tremendously, and left ripples.

Whereas Aileron...sat around talking to Arcee a couple of times and then they were kissing? Who cares? Barber says it's trans lesbians so it doesn't matter that all of the characters Arcee's had ship-tease with were male, or that Arcee was strapped down and given a forced sex change or that it doesn't make sense. Barber wanted all the woke points MTMTE earned in its run but none of the work.

Just take what you're given and forget that these two ever did this.
