So I just straight-up skipped day 4 of @hwsrarepairweek2022 because I was already behind and knew I wanted to do more than one drawing for day 5, “supernatural.” I mean, I already had a spn/destiel-inspired AU from another rare pair week like two years ago! Clearly, it was time to bring back my old crossover of my two most cursed (affectionate, mostly) fandoms

Which one in your OTP...

makes bad jokes when they get nervous, and which one can totally see through it? Honestly my interpretation of Gil is that like 90% of why he’s Like That is compensating for being a high-strung ball of anxiety, so I’d say his most idiotic moments of “I Am Awesome” count to this. Lien also has anxiety issues and can see through him anyway, but I also headcanon that they don’t meet until after WWII - this means all the European nations are used to Gilbert’s bullshit and don’t question it, but Lien actually bothers to wonder what the hell his deal is

gets cranky without coffee, and which one knows this and brings them a cup in the morning? Lien drinks tea a bit more than coffee (though she definitely likes coffee, Vietnamese-style coffee is awesome), but she’s less functional on little sleep than Gilbert is (not really grumpy just... slower lol)

cries when they get drunk, and which one has a 50% chance of getting arrested? I don’t think either of them get particularly prone to crying fits, but I continue to revel in Gilbert canonically being a sleepy drunk, and that leaves Lien to lead the way in drunken shenanigans. I like to think that it’s less because she comes up with dumb schemes and more because her tolerance for other people’s bullshit goes to zero and therefore she becomes way more likely to get in a fistfight or something

forgets what they were talking about when the other smiles at them? Gilbert, mostly because Lien doesn’t smile much so when she does it’s just like a one-hit KO to Gil’s concentration

kicks the other in their sleep, and which one kicks back while fully awake? Both can be prone to nightmares and get kick-y. Lien takes a while to un-learn the reflex if Gilbert kicks her, though he never really bothers to kick back in the first place

uses bath bombs and soaks in the tub for an hour, and which one hasn’t taken an actual bath since they were six years old? Lien likes baths way more than Gilbert, though I’m not sure she’s the bath bomb type 

secretly wears the other’s oversized sweaters, and which one secretly leaves their sweaters lying out for the other to wear? I don’t think Gilbert could get away with leaving a sweater out since that doesn’t really jive with his neat-freak tendencies, but Lien is of course more than welcome to his sweaters, Berlin is much colder than Hanoi after all

accidentally puts their underwear on inside out, and which one accidentally or on purpose leaves the house without underwear on? Neither? To either of these? Idk man, I think they’re both too fastidious

yells at rom-com characters to, “stop being so stupid and just talk,” and which one spends most of the movie watching the other fondly? Lien is not terribly fond of romantic comedies for exactly this reason lol. Gilbert doesn’t really like them either, but he’ll watch them in order to watch Lien get riled up 

gets way too competitive playing games, and which one finds their rage and bloodlust adorable? They both have a competitive streak a mile wide, but Gil is more attracted to her aggression than the reverse

pulls pranks on the other, and which one somehow loves them more even while planning their murder? Lien is a firm believer that revenge is best served cold, so when Gil successfully manages a prank, she takes great joy in letting him stew wondering when she’ll get him back

organized their cereal (alphabetically, color coordinating, or by sugar content), and which one mixes them all together in one big container? who the HELL mixes all their cereal together??? anyway, Gilbert organizes because I don’t think Lien likes cereal, she’s used to Superior Vietnamese Breakfast
