Her blue eyes shot in Murphy’s direction, one eyebrow quirking upward at his remark.
“You know- with trying to save the lives of our people, I haven’t exactly had time to myself. But trust me- you don’t smell like a bag of roses, Murphy. For christ sake, we all smell terrible down here.” She retorted, trying still to get her hair under control as the wind whipped around them.
“If you’re so concerned about my personal hygiene, walk to the creek with me so I have some backup if anything happens.”
all he was hearing was excuses. he pinched his nose with his thumb and
forefinger and raised his eyebrows right back at her.
“EVERYONE HAS TIME FOR A SHOWER. Or at least to wash some
of the blood away. You can’t keep saving everyone’s lives if you’re
unhygienic. Isn’t that the first problem with spreading disease. Besides
coughing blood into someone’s face of course.”

still, he rolled his hair, signalling for her to get moving because he wasn’t
going to spend all day watching over her while she bathed.
