GT5 Faction Wars - The First Race of the Season
Alright, tonight is the first race of the all-new PS3CoffinDodgers Gran Turismo 5 competition "RED vs BLUE" and I am part of the ever-loving blue team led by "The Skid"!
Some say that he has a tail and that he can only see in monochrome...
The whole thing came about easily enough, we had a Thursday night Gran Turismo race night and we wanted to raise the stakes so that everyone brought their A-game. This is when the ploppyplops started to hit the fan...
Players were picked using that 100% accurate and unbiased method of "ip-dip" where we all put one foot into a circle while our leader went round...
"Ip Dip Doo, Doggy does a poo, Cat does a wee wee and Out goes you"
The RED team were picked and ready, led by their ever-cheating captain they consisted of:

Doomweavr
Hol
Rik
Nugwin
Juan
Whereas in comparison, the mighty BLUE team featured:
Captain - The Skid
KidTricky
Ramos
Batfink
Nickmegs
ME!
Both teams, on paper, seem very evenly matched. There is a lot of talent on display and a hell of a lot of sneaky-devils that would sooner swipe your back end than pass you carefully.
"So how does this differ from a normal everyday race then?" you may ask...
Well that's a very good question, thank you for asking. The reason that this differs from the normal set-up of picking a race and then just tearing around a track until someone gets bored and starts doing handbrake skids in an attempt to hit the other racers is simple. We have a Blockbusters clone!

OK, you might be looking at that picture and thinking "What the hell?" so here comes a brief description.
"Both teams pick 2 cars, both cars from the Dealership. NO race cars. 1 car 400pp & 1 car 550pp max ALL players have all 4 cars, the super awesome BLUE team picked -
A super sexy Honda Civic Type-R '08
A slick and speedy Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07
In contrast then, the RED team decided to go for something a little different. Something a little more... Erm...

So then that's the cars revealed now, at each fortnightly event:-
The BLUE team captain picks the Race location and the number of laps, RED team captain then picks 1 of his teams cars.
Then the RED team captain picks the Race Location and the number of laps, BLUE team captain picks 1 of his teams Cars. Boost: High Tyre & Fuel: Off Pens: Off Damage: Off Slipstream: High Everybody uses the same car that is picked with a Minimum of 3 Laps and a Maximum of 10 Laps per race. Once a team makes it across the board they can challenge at the Nurburgring for the overall win. The opposing captain gets at least 1 go after the Nurburgring race if he is at that stage to force a draw." Personally I don't understand it either and that's why I am leaving it all up to the bosses and I am just racing like a good little sheep!
Wish me luck, hopefully I won't get rammed off the track and span round a thousand times like last time I raced in my pink TVR...
