Last year I casted Actors for a film I wanted to write. We rehearsed without a script and only a concept. These Actors was dedicated and gave 100%. But I knew I needing funding so I decided to do a play version of the film first. I got the crew ready, booked the venue, had the set drawn out and then my vision came to a halt. I was moving out of God’s order. He gave me a film vision and I went off course and tried to do it my way in the form of a play. I was struggling to create the script so I postponed the show. I went back to the original vision but then division came in my cast and I lost hope for it. I started hating my own vision and blamed myself for wasting people time. I wanted to walk away from film and plays. I wanted to shut down my business. I felt ashamed and I was breaking into pieces right before my team because I never want people to feel like I didn’t care about their time or commitment. For months I was believing that this wasn’t my purpose anymore because I had disappointed people that trusted me. BUT when you get someone to tell you how much of an impact you’ve been in their life, how can I stop? I got my relationship better with God and realized I never wanna do anything out of order or without his approval. So today, I opened up that same script and began to write. I can’t wait to do this one because God wanted me to write this one with pain that will truly have a purpose.
