When Hannah “counted” more accurately than Demi, there was a part of me that thought she might be a plant to stall the game until a bunch more people could show up for the final.
Fascinated to see the bts for this one

The really unfortunate thing about the most recent Dimension 20 Adventuring party is that it perfectly fits into the Cha Cha Slide.
"Charlie Brown... No Shirt No Panties"
Step 1: book Ryan and Colin for Make Some Noise
Step 2: Pit every MSN winner against each other in a Game Changer Best Bits tourney
Step 3: winner gets third podium in MSN
Potential twist: Ryan and Colin are judging winners of the Game Changer ep, but contestants don’t know it.
Terrible rpg character idea: a robot with an old dvd player/tv combo for a head that can only communicate in clips from schoolhouse rock
With Greater than Games being shuttered for the foreseeable future, I’d like to say a little of how much >G and Sentinels has meant to me. After being introduced to the game in 2013, some friends and I found the Tactics game after it launched and really fell in love with the small-squad 3v3 that we could play together and match wits against other teams. We drove 16 hours overnight for a tournament they hosted in a St Louis board game shop where we qualified for their next tournament by the skin of our teeth and a technicality.
What followed was a wild ride of asking to help playtest, and then develop the next expansion (which we had a blast doing even though it got cancelled); and then pitching them on a slightly more streamlined, more ambitious project that integrated co-op play as well as a way for organized play to have narrative consequences for the future of the setting. This would end up being the most creatively fulfilling three years of my life, and although Prime War was also ultimately cancelled, I wouldn’t have traded that time for anything.
Christopher, Adam, and Paul took a swing on some young guns, and helped cultivate our creative chops both in game design and writing. I know things are rough on the ground now, but I wish the best for all of the folks that worked at one of the coolest game companies I know!
A Bug’s Life should have named him “Flea T Barnum”
The Shallan and Vin post (esp with the discworld addition) has been rattling around in my head, and gave me a terrible Thaidakar endgame:
Kelsier just wants to get Vin back from the Spiritual Realm.
I need to re-read Secret History, but my recollection is he disapproved of Vin’s choice to pass on with Elend. As a Cognitive shadow (who once briefly held a shard), I think he knows his personal limits, but wants to push the bounds of what’s magically possible, and who is Sazed to tell him there can’t be a Spiritual Shadow?
Anyway minor WaT spoilers below:
Had a dream there was a cross-promotion with House and the Bear in the Big Blue House reboot where the actor that played Bear was the main patient.
Along the way House had to contend with Wilson’s love of muppets, and eventually does a puppet routine for a kid in the clinic.
I woke up as Hugh Laurie walked on to the set of Big Blue house, so I don’t know how the other half of the promotion went.
