Supposed To Be Married in 5 Years?!?
*discussion about my eldest sister and her marriage prior to discussion below*
half-sister: You're going to get married in 5 years anyways.
me: Um, no. I'm going to be in grad school and then get my Psy.D. and establish my life and career in Colorado. I don't have time for that. My plans take longer than 5 years.
half-sister: Why wouldn't you get married? You could marry someone while you're here.
me: I could, but it wouldn't make sense to change everything I've planned for some guy that might not even want to move to Colorado or have other things planned for himself
half-sister: So, you're going to marry someone there?
me: My life doesn't revolve around the idea of getting married, you know?
