Hi! I'm taking psyc 2021 + 2030 currently instead of HLST 2300. Will this allow me to take HLST 4200 since I'm doing the alternative? My dpr says I should be able to but some other student freaked me out because she said she knows someone who took psyc stats and can't take 4200 now 😟 thanks for your help guys! Of course I will call the department and find out but I wanted to see if you guys had any idea on this.

Yes you should still be able to do HLST 4200 because the PSYC courses are course credit exclusions for HLST 2300 (which basically means that the courses are equivalent to each other). There wouldn’t be any point in doing HLST 2300 again just for 4200.

I'm so confused! When my high school results reached York, I called the Faculty of Health to confirm my course credit exclusion from PSYC 1010 and they did confirm it and I just got an email from the program secretary of undergrad psych telling me i don't have the prerequisite for Psych 2021 and Psych 2022? Is there someone I've done wrong?

You need to contact the Department of Psychology and inform them that you have the course/credit. Also, they’ll de-enroll you from the PYSC courses if they think you don’t have the prereq, so contact them ASAP.

Is it better to take Psyc 2021 and psyc 2022 or the full year course, psych 2020?

I’ve heard from many Psych majors that the semestered statistics courses (PSYC 2021/2022) are easier to manage than the Yearly course (PSYC 2020).

Hey guys, by any chance have any of you taken psych 2022 (stats II) with Heather Jenkins? please and thank you in advance!

M’s doing Stats right now so I’ll ask her to add her input, but otherwise no no one’s done it.

Note: I haven’t taken it with Heather Jenkins but I’m currently taking it throughout the summer and I definitely recommend it as opposed to doing it throughout the school year. If you have any specific questions just ask :)
