Hi! I'm struggling a lot with my dyscalculia and was wondering if you have any tips? I went through your dyscalculia master post and was wondering if you have examples of your notes that you could post? thanks!

Hello! 

Unfortunately, I don’t have math classes anymore and my old notes are A)all in Italian and B)I’m not in the same city as these notes right now.

BUT, I do have a post where I explain how I used to take my notes here, so maybe that could help?

Keep in mind that every person is very different and learns in a different way; my method could not work for you.

some tips:

keep it clear - write in a very big font, fill out the entire page with just one step, write every single thing, even if it seems obvious.

highlight what is important - if you need that information, you’ll be able to locate it very quickly.

make functional notes -  stop doing things that may distract you while you are looking at the page. Don’t use too many colors, don’t decorate your notes, (unless it helps) they need to be clear and easy to use. 

rewrite your notes - it’s an opportunity to make them clear, functional, efficient. Notes taken in class can be messy, not easy to understand and even useless.

These tips are based on the fact that I had access to these notes whenever I took math tests, so that’s why they needed to be very, very functional.

crystal sticker pack - by psychlu!

So, I had all of these pieces of paper where I doodled crystals and tiny stars and sparkles; then I saw @studyrose ‘s sticker pack (which is adorable, amazing and better than mine) and I was inspired into making my own sticker sheet.

All of these were hand-drawed, put through a scanner and fixed with Photoshop CS5. (So the colors would be pretty!)

download the PDF on Dropbox; you will find a 2 pages pdf file with the stickers.

Studying some general psychology.

Uni is good! I have to study a lot and my lessons are 3 hours each, but its nice to do some work. BUT I wake up very early everyday since I dont live in the same city as my university. I envy a little those who live there now. Its 40 minutes on the train to get there.
