✨⚡️I Made The Psycho Rangers + Me As A Psycho Ranger In Gacha Life 2!⚡️✨

Another AU Virgie meets the Psychos snippet. Ft. AJ, Virgie, and Psychos Blue and Black. Credit for the latter two as portrayed as well as the StarWars elements go to my friend power_rangers_psycho_zeo on IG.

Occasionally, one of them would get the urge to go hunt rangers again. They were free to live their own lives and had an entirely new set of powers to tap into-the rangers were even less of a challenge than they were before.

In spite of that, someone got the urge anyway. It was always Axe or Virgil, and in the end it was always left to Photon to fetch one of them.

Today Axe had stumbled upon an aqua blue ranger in some sort of shark themed suit. He’d started it, of course-he was simply bored and itching for a good fight. At least he’d gotten rid of his homicidal tendencies-mostly.

The little shark ranger was giving him a fair bit of resistance, however. Her fighting skills, while nowhere near his, were more than adequate, and each time he tried to land a heavy hit, it was either blocked or softened by some sort of ghostly shark that summoned itself out of her body.

Weird.

At any rate, the fight was enough of a challenge for him to transform into his Zeo form. That power shift was enough to allow him to send the girl flying into a wall without the ghostly shark’s interference. “Is that all?” Axe asked. “I’m disappointed.”

His opponent looked up, and managed an “Ow” before trying-and failing-to get to her feet. “I’d like to think I did pretty good, thank you very much.”

All Axe got out was a snort of derision before something flew at him from the side. This time, he was the one who was sent flying into a wall, and a red and black blur assailed him with a combination of punches and red lightning. 

His new assailant wore the same uniform as Virgil’s base form, but something was off. The energy was different, and whoever this was an entire head shorter than Virgil.

The odd thing was that Axe wasn’t able to throw the person off. He had the strength and power advantage, but he couldn’t shake them. All he could really do was block whatever he could and try not to actually scream at the pain he was feeling.

Behind them, he thought he could hear the voice of his prior opponent. “Virgie! Virgie, it’s okay! I’m mostly fine! Don’t kill him-ow!”

Virgie, however, had other ideas, and finally spoke long enough to say, “You made a big mistake today. That happens to be my best friend back there. Since you hurt her, I’ll hurt you.”

This time Axe did scream, though he was still wondering how. This Virgie didn’t even have the power to overwhem him, so how in the world was she-

His thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of Photon in his Psycho Gold form. Photon flicked his gaze around, and immediately began striding in the direction of his brother. 

“Don’t be too hard on Virgie!” the other girl called. “She was just... protecting me. That’s all.”

Photon paid little mind to this-he was actually more interested in what Photon’s assailant had managed. He grabbed Virgie by the scruff of her collar, mid-lightning strike, and carried her several feet away before turning her to face him. “Force lightning,” he said simply. “How’d you manage force lightning?” He’d done it, but as far as he knew, he was the only one in this universe that could.”

“Is anyone going to ask me how I’m doing?” Axe grumbled as he sat up slowly, groaning.

The other girl had managed to limp to her feet by then, and shuffled slowly over to where Axe was sitting. She plopped down next to him and said, “I’d help you up, but I can’t stand very long. Are you okay? I haven’t seen Virgie that mad in a long time.”

Axe snorted and stared at her for a moment. “Are you for real? I just tried to kill you.”

The girl, who introduced herself as AJ, shook her head. “Nah, I didn’t sense any actual malice in you. You’ve got a lot of power in you. I think maybe you just wanted a challenge, right?” When Axe nodded, she went on. “I’m pretty good, but if you want a real challenge, you might need to find someone stronger than me.

Axe just stared at her while she talked, trying to process both the fact that a ranger was talking to him like they were friends and the fact that he’d just gotten his rear end handed to him by someone who logically shouldn’t have been able to.

Meanwhile, Virgie stared back at Photon. “Is that what you call it? No one taught me-it’s just something I’ve been able to do for a while, even if I’m out of my psycho uniform.

“That still doesn’t answer the question of how,” Photon replied as he dropped Virgie in front of him. “You don’t just all of a sudden do that.”

Virgie thought for a moment, then said, “I guess it’s because I learned to control my emotions-for the most part. I still have my moments. But I learned that if you don’t control your emotions, they’ll control you, and so will everyone else.” She flicked her gaze to Axe briefly and then back to Photon. “I was angry, but I didn’t want to kill him. I don’t like to kill any more if I can help it-though I would if I had to, I guess.” She shrugged. “Besides, AJ wouldn’t have wanted me to.”

“How are you friends with a ranger anyway?” Photon flicked his gaze to AJ, who was currently still talking to Axe. Axe was still looking at her in some degree of disbelief, but seemed to be relaxing a bit.

“She hasn’t been one very long.” Virgie replied. “It’s...something that was passed on to her, so to speak. “Anyway, she and her older brother helped me out when I was vulnerable and needed help-even knowing what I was. Most rangers aren’t that way. It’s funny, because rangers don’t want you to do bad things, but when you try not to do the bad things any more, they still think you are. Anyway, AJ and her brother aren’t like that. AJ’s a decent fighter, but she still has a lot to learn. She can be a bit childish sometimes,but has a good heart. That’s why I’m protective of her.”

“Well she does seem like the exception to the rule,” Photon remarked idly. “Seems like she’s talking to Axe like he’s a human being.”

“Isn’t he, though?” Virgie asked. Then she added, “I’m glad you have names. We’re more than just tools.

Flashbacks

Sequel to the prior ‘Out with a bang’.Credit: power_rangers_psycho_zeo on IG as this is once again in his universe. 

Plot summary: Aurico asks a question, and both Virgie and Photon remember a darker day in different ways.

-Aquitar-

“Virgie.” Aurico looked over across the table at Virgie. “Andros mentioned that was the second Astro Megaship. Do you know what happened to the first?”

Photon knew there was no malice or suspicion in the alien ranger’s question, but he did see Virgie’s face change, and not in a way he liked. It reminded him of the day they’d met, and while he didn’t regret meeting her in the slightest, he did regret how. He straightened up to his full height and said, calmly, “You’re treading dangerous waters, ranger.” His voice was quiet, and one arm went around Virgie’s back.

-Flashback-

When they found her, she was huddled alone, crying in front of a burning Astro Megaship. Photon’s head had turned when Trek had made a sound, and found their uncle and savior rubbing his temples as if he were in pain.

“She’s in pain,” Trek explained simply. “And she’s broadcasting. I’ll be fine.”

Photon shook his head and frowned, then wondered just how they’d approach her. 

Virgil solved that problem for him, and actually didn’t rush into the situation for once. Instead, he walked over and crouched next to who he assumed was his female counterpart from another time and place, and drawled, “Please tell me he was on it.”

There was a small sound of what appeared to be weak laughter that appeared to come from the shorter red psycho, and she said, “No. But I did punt him out of the airlock and halfway across the planet.”

“Are you sure that’s not an exaggeration?” Axe asked. 

“I think she could do it,” Nokrea offered.

“No, I checked before I set the ship on fire,” Virgie told them. “I really punted him halfway across the planet.”

“You punted-” Trek started to say, forgetting the headache Virgie’s memories had caused him for the time being. “Ha.....hahahahahaha!!!”

“I think I’m in love,” Photon drawled.

“I saw her first!” Trek replied. Axe, Yellow, and Nokrea all gave them strange looks, but laughed at the mental image of Andros flying that far.

Virgil, meanwhile, peered at his counterpart and asked, “I suppose that’s somewhat impressive, but just who are you anyway?”

Virgie just gaze up at him, hugging herself, and replied, “I’m you, but shorter and cuter.”

“Tch!” Virgil made a sound of annoyance, but hadn’t turned away.

--End flashback--

That day had bothered him. Photon told himself that it was because she was another psycho, even if she wasn’t technically part of *their* family. That’s what he’d told himself. But amongst the many plans he had, one was to make sure he never saw her that upset again.

“You don’t have to answer.” Aurico’s voice broke the silence. “Andros never mentioned what happened, and you have a way of...knowing things. I was just curious.”

There was silence again. Photon gave Aurico an ‘I’m watching you’ look that was interrupted by Virgie speaking.

“I destroyed the first one, and that was because at the time I was alone in the world. I thought maybe I could have one moment where I could feel like I knew what it was like to have someone care. Nothing permanent, but just something nice to remember when things kept getting rough. But when the moment was over, I was accused of initiating it for my own personal gain. A certain someone didn’t realize that sometimes people don’t have a choice in things, and that sometimes people need something deeper,if only for a moment. He’ s lucky I didn’t kill him, but that wouldn’t mean anything. I leave his fate to the hands of others, and now I only fight for who and what I believe in. That’s all.”

Aurico simply nodded and said, “I understand. I’m sorry if I...brought up something.”

“It’s fine. We psychos are a prickly lot when we’re hurt or angry. “

“You don’t have to worry about that kind of thing any more.” Photon’s voice was low and whispered in her ear.

Virgie just nudged him playfully and whispered, “Softy.” But she let out a little reassured sigh too.

Becoming Worthy: Photon

A little what if featuring the Psycho Zeo gang as thought of by power_rangers_psycho_zeo on IG. Credit for that idea and Photon as portrayed here goes to him. Virgie and Zea are my idea. Obviously this isn’t an indication of how his story will go-it’s just for funsies.

“You know, the last time someone sought out my crystal after they went and destroyed it.” A female voice echoed in Photon’s head. “The nerve. And before that, there was that fellow who got his skin burnt off trying. He calls himself Zedd now, but his real name is Zophram. You can rub that in his face if you ever get that far.”

“Who are you?” Photo asked. He was looking at darkness, and couldn’t see himself, let alone anyone else. 

“I am Zea, the embodiment of the Zeo crystal. I see you and your family have stumbled upon it. You have managed to break free of the darkness that bound you and found loyalty to each other, but if getting the Zeo powers were easy, everyone would have them. So each one of you shall go through a test.”

Photon was suspicious, but curious at the same time. “What kind of test? Do we have to destroy something?”

“Not everything is about destruction, Photon. You and your family will be put into a situation-a situation where you will have to make a decision. If you make the right one, you will pass and gain my power.”

“And if we make the wrong choice?”

“Well, I won’t burn your skin off. But you’ll have to look for another power source. Now, let’s go.”

“Wait-” Photon suddenly found himself sucked into something. There was a bright light, and then a scene formed around him. He was in his Psycho Black guise, holding his weapon. Behind him, he could sense his siblings, but something seemed....off. It was them, yet not them. Even in himself, something was off. There was a swirling, dark rage and resentment within him reminiscent of his old days serving their mother as Astronema, and yet-something told him this wasn’t him. 

Maybe he had to face what he was before and leave it behind?

No, that couldn’t be it. He couldn’t sense Virgil. Instead, before him was an untransformed humanoid female that could be Virgil’s sister. He realized that they were fighting, but something else was wrong. He could sense the powers of Psycho Red within her, and yet...someone or something had sealed them off.

He could also sense a lot of anger and rage coming from the female, but he could sense something else too. Hurt. Despair. A sense of hopelessness, yet a deep determination.

It almost seemed as if time had frozen around him, but it really hadn’t. Looking from his weapon to the female before him, a thought occurred to him. 

Whatever this was, it wasn’t right. Was he in the body of another Psycho Black? Was this how things between him and Virgil had been? Knowing what he knew now, feeling what he felt now, he couldn’t act in the same way.

It wasn’t right, even if he wasn’t entirely sure who this female was. He threw his weapon to the side, and he found himself speaking aloud the words he’d been thinking. 

“No. No, this isn’t right.”

The female cocked her head at him in confusion, as if seeing him for the first time. She spoke, and asked, simply, “Who are you? You’re not....”

Photon put his hands on her shoulders, and concentrated. “Be free of what binds you.” A light flashed, and there stood a much shorter red psycho.

“What-” That was all the female got out before both she and Photon were sucked into the darkness.

“Congratulations. You passed.” Zea’s voice echoed in the blackness that he’d been sucked into before. This time, however, a figure came into view-a female figure with rainbow hair, with each strand representing a color of the crystal. She waved a hand, and Photon’s uniform would change to a combination of his old psycho uniform and...

“Gold?” Photon inquired.

“Consider it a gift,” Zea said. “Besides, there is no black in the zeo crystal. Your new friend here can also be considered a gift.”

“Hey! I’m not a prize! I’m Virgie!” the female retorted.

“Of course you’re Virgie,” Zea said gently. “The one you see before you is from a different time and place. I’m sending you with him because he can give you something you want. Family. A  sense of belonging. Who knows, you might find out who you are.”

“Hmph,” Virgie said. “But thanks....I guess.”

Photon was glad the darkness hid the smirk on his face-she reminded him of Virgil. Well, she probably was. Or at least one version of him, anyway. “What am I gonna do with two Psycho Reds?” he joked.

“I sense that in addition to what she has now, Virgie wants to find something all her own,” Zea replied. “Which is why I’m not gifting her any extra power. Help her find what she’s looking for. Just look out for her and treat her well-or at least better than she’s been treated until now.”

“I guess I can live with that,” Photon replied. In the darkness, he held out a hand to Virgie, and he could feel a reluctant pause before she took it. “Can we go back now?”

“Yes. And remember, your family too will be tested-including Psycho Green.”

There was another flash of light, and Photon was back on the ship-in his bed, of all things. Thankfully, Zea had had the grace to land Virgie in a nearby chair and not on top of him in a compromising position. He’d hate for his siblings to walk into *that* after all.

Unofficial deputies: Psycho Black/Reader

Psycho Black/SPD A Squad reader. When Bridge’s sister forsees your squad’s betrayal, Commander Crueger insists there’s not enough evidence and insists on sending the squad anyway. You decide to take matters into your own hands. Also, credit for Photon as portrayed here goes to power_rangers_psycho_zeo on IG.

They’d been surprised enough that you’d found them, and even more surprised that you’d asked them for help, of all things. Virgil had laughed-in fact, he was still laughing. 

“You must be truly desperate to come to us,” Trek mused. He’d listened to your story in relative silence-how Brooklyn had predicted that upon reaching your Helix Galaxy destination, they’d open fire on civilians and likely you if you tried to stop them. 

You’d also told them how full of themselves the rest of the squad had been. Only you had been different, trying to take what time you could with the lower ranks. Maybe that was why Crueger had made you the leader. But you supposed some things you couldn’t change.

Virgil finally stopped laughing long enough to say, “That’s just like you rangers. You think you’re all that and can waltz in and do whatever you want, and when the going gets tough, you either stupidly keep going or run off to join the winning side.”

“Unfortunately, you’re right,” you told him. “Look, I’ve gone rogue with SPD property in the way of a small ship and my morpher. I’m also willing to reveal to you the details of everything A squad has at its disposal if you help me. Which means I probably won’t be welcomed back any time soon. The only thing I want is for civilians to not die. Technically I’m supposed to arrest those four, but given what they’re about to do and I’m practically begging at this point, I don’t care what you do to them. But if you let them live, make sure they confess everything. And I”m not in charge, you are.”

Photon had been silent all this time. He flicked his gaze to Trek, who said, simply, “They’re sincere.” Upon hearing those words, Photon spoke.

“We’ll help you. But you follow us.”

“Fair enough.”

In the end, no one had died, though your traitor squad members had wished they had by the time the psychos were done with them. You’d simply intercepted a friend at High command and had him deliver their containment cards-with little explanation. 

Photon would find you later, off by yourself. “Is there anywhere we can take you?”

You shook her head. “I don’t know. I can’t go back to SPD. I went against orders, even though I technically saved the day. Well, all of you saved the day. I just helped a little.”

He snorted. “I don’t know if it’s something we’ll get in the habit of. They should have listened to you. When teams and families don’t listen to each other, nothing works.”

“I always hoped,” you told him, “that maybe I could change them. That maybe one day they could see past the ends of their noses. But they never did, and Crueger built us all up so fast. I guess I never had a chance at that.”

“We were built too,” he told you. “Though now, thanks to Green, we’re listening to each other. We’ve found something for ourselves. And-we’re a family.”

“I can’t imagine what it was like for you,” you told him. “Being...built and used. But I’m glad you have something you can call family. I wonder if I can ever trust anyone enough for that. To be honest, I never trusted...them.”

He didn’t answer at first. When he did, he asked a question. “You listened once-would you listen again?”

“I listen to those I respect. You’ve all earned mine.”

He thought again, then took your hand in his. “Then trust me.” 

You gazed up at him. “Virgil will-”

“Virgil will just have to get over it. I’m in charge now.”

You chuckled, smiling just a little. You squeezed his hand, and replied, “Well, if it helps, tell him I wouldn’t have minded if he’d killed them. But we’ll let that be our little secret.”

“My lips are sealed, Y/N.”

HUMAN FORMS OF THE PSYCHO RANGERS. Black and yellow look kinda accurate to their tv version but I wish red was darker like his tv counterpart. PINK AND BLACK CALLED KARONE MOM!!!!!! Lol now I can’t stop imagining psycho red calling Andros uncle lol just to piss Andros off.

also it’s confirmed that the psycho rangers used to be actual people. To quote Karone later on in the issue

“They were people. Just like me. They were destroyed. Broken and reprogrammed. Just like me. They were turned into weapons. Just like me”

The psychos get new names in this comic.

Psycho Pink whose adorable through out the comic is called Nokrea.

Psycho red is called Virgil

Yellow is still Yellow( no surprise there)

Blue is called Axe(the writers had the chance to name him tomahawk after neziblue weapons name in Megaranger but they didn’t take it..shame)

While black is called Photon

Over all I liked the comic. It showed the human side of the psychos so to speak(them engaging in group bonding activities with Karone) lol there’s a cute bit with psycho blue where he pretty much wonders what soda is and thinks Karones just making stuff up

also that one comic detailing the origin of psycho green(that’s so notorious for being hard to find is included here)

Psycho Ranger Black

Well what can I about this guy that I haven't already about Psycho Red, or Blue? It’s the exact same mold as the other two; the only differences are the different paint deco, and weapon.

So I guess I’ll talk about that.

Psycho Ranger Black is part of the last leg bandai’s Power Rangers Legacy collection; he represents one in just a handful of villains released for this line. (or at least it was when I wrote this review back in May 2019)

Sculpting of the toy:

It’s exactly the same as Red and Blue. NEXT!

Paint deco:

Glossy black, with matte black, with white, some silver on the studs, and a gold collar this time.

The gold collar is a nice change of pace considering Red and Blue both have while collars. Maybe Black is the leader?

I don’t really know; back in the day I had tuned out by the time Power Rangers In Space premiered.

Construction of the toy is good, no changes there, and he stands, and poses well.

I guess the major difference is his weapon.

Psycho Ranger Black comes with a two-pronged spear known as a bident,

It has a long black staff with a nice metallic silver curved, double-speared tip, and it looks rad as hell!

On the opposite side of the bident is a silver blunt end I suppose for just injuring your opponent as opposed to skewering them.

Final thoughts:

It’s nice to see another villain in the Power Rangers Legacy line, even if it’s still another evil Power Ranger.

Recommended if you’re crazy enough to shell out another $20.00 for a repaint for the same guy you’ve already purchased two others of the exact same kind...like I did...

With the end of Bandai’s Legacy Collection, and we are already well into the beginnings of the Hasbro’s Lightning Collection, I already have Lord Zedd and White Ranger) I’ll be moving onto that soon enough.

Another Billie muse

One she doesn’t need, nope nope nope. But presenting Billie-mun’s version of Psycho Black because she can and wants to, but mostly for the hell of it.

Name: Psycho Black/Black

Human FC: Michael Maiz

Weapon: Psycho Rod

Monster form: Rock Monster

Abilities: Enhanced speed and strength, limited shapeshifting, high intelligence, weapons knowledge, ranger identification

Personality: Wary of most people but not as antisocial as his other Psycho counterparts. He can be a bit arrogant at times when it comes to his own abilities, but he doesn’t let it cloud his judgment most days. Anger isn’t something he’s quick to, but he is a Psycho after all, so don’t push him. He’ll follow orders from someone he respects.

Hobbies: Rock-collecting

Headcanons: Unlike Green, he’ll walk around in his human form most of the time, and only shifts to his monster form when needed. Unlike Green, he doesn’t have a vampiric hybrid form (though he could probably take one if he wanted).

Brief history: Popped up after the events of In Space and Lost Galaxy in a different time and place. Unlike Green, his memories are intact-he’s just not certain how he ended up where he is now, unattached to any particular entity.
