I remember people commenting (& agreeing) on the last ep of season 1 (before season 2 was even announced, I think) that Akane & co. weren’t even the main characters  and that their story was the “prequel”/set up for the “real story”, which is Mika’s story (and that she is the real main character of the series). lmao. LMAO.

why the fuck did the writers for season 2 of psycho-pass have to make Mika’s character so bad when she was so good in the first season

I mean some of the changes /do/ make sense but like some of it was just.... unnecessary imo (like how big her grudge against akane was.... )

i follow quite a few psycho pass blogs that don't always tag things haha i hope i won't see too many spoilers

I typically don't mind spoilers and often spoilers are what convince me to read/watch things that I was kind of eh about, but since this is (as far as i know) the last installment I wanna experience the intended shock factor

I think another good thing about season 2 is that it proved that the show can still be good and interesting without Kogami around. I know especially in season 1 and also the attitude of some of the people commenting on season 2 that a lot of people act like Kogami is the main driving force behind the series and that nothing can get done without him around.

Without him there the team still has a really great chemistry and can work together for the most part (sans mika bc she's stubborn, i'm not going to count togane in this)

I mean ok, he did have appearances as hallucinations and its obvious he's still important to akane and inspires her but even when he was giving her advice, it was in her head, and she was able to think all of that stuff on her own.

idk I just find it annoying when people try to say that Kogami's the only character that matters and that hes the main character and stuff. He is a main character but please give the others a chance omg plus it's obvious that this is supposed to be Akane's story

omg i feel the same way!! i liked the ending...i was shocked 2 see how many ppl weren't into it

I think part of it was bc some people had really high expectations, like some of them were upset bc it was "too predictable and cliche". I think some people were expecting the sybil system to be taken down too and didn't like the way it was still in power and stuff.some of the commenters on the streaming site I used didn't know about the movie though or that it takes place after this season, so I could see being upset w/ the season if u thought that this was all that there would be.

But like, for the second installment in a trilogy? (im guessing there's not going to be anything after the movie) it was REALLY GOOD and interesting.

but yeah I really enjoyed it and the ending didn't really leave any loose ends that I can think of for that arc itself, which is RARE and anyway yeah, I really liked it too!

which in comparison to the other shit that happens is not quite as freaky but still some ppl found that more disturbing than the other stuff

which is understandable but im actually quite surprised that no animals had died in the show before now (that i can remember at least)

(tbh the stuff that happened later on in the ep was way worse)
