gonna yap about TADC for a sec, but i genuinely don’t understand why people view abstraction as death.
it’s a permanent state, yes, but death isn’t the only permanent thing that can happen to people, you know?
with how they end up in the finale (no spoilers, i promise), i personally saw it more akin to ppl w/ psychological issues (mental breaks/violent outbursts, etc) being in a group home bc they can’t integrate into society as it is.
the abstractions have each other to interact w/ on a daily basis, and the non-abstracted players can still visit & interact w/ them, albeit under specific conditions.
ie: just like people irl who have mental/psychological conditions that require certain conditions & environments in order to function as best as they’re able.
and i think it’s very…interesting, that so many ppl automatically see abstracted characters as dead more than they see them as mentally disabled ppl who need certain conditions in order to function in some way.
because a lot of the time, things like that can be permanent. they can’t be ‘fixed’, & you can only do so much for them.
