You didn't have asks turned on so I figured this would be the easiest way.
"Oh no." Errol frowned as he jiggled the key in the handle of his new apartment, but it wouldn't turn. "Did they give me the wrong keys?" he mumbles to himself. "Maybe there's a trick to it..." He continues fiddling with the lock until he's afraid he's going to break the key off in it. Giving up with a sigh, he leans his back against the door and slides down it until he's sitting on the floor with his head in his hands.
"Just my luck. I rent the ruddy apartment only for the key to not work right." He frowns, lowering one hand so he can look at the key in it. It wasn't the wrong one, it had the right number on it. There had to be some way to get it to work.
Just as he was about to give up and go ask the apartment owner for help, he sees someone coming down the hall. Standing up, he offers them a sheepish smile. "Um, I'm sorry to bother you but, I just moved in, or I'm about to. I've got a couple boxes over there to bring in," he motions to a couple cardboard boxes and a backpack full of all his belongings. "I suppose we'll be neighbors if you live here too. But I can't get my door to open. It's sort of embarrassing really, but I was wondering if you know if there's a trick to the lock or something? Here's the key I was given."
