“no one has to know”
Tristan’s eyes shot up at Ginger’s suggestion; he just wanted to get better at dancing in time for Wizard of Oz, he hadn’t been planning on breaking into the Charming Dance Hall to do it, though. “Are you sure we can’t just practice in your living room or something?” he asked her, although maybe dancing in front of Bronte and Dallas would only be more embarrassing for him than if they got caught by Fairy Godmother or the Walt police. Sighing, he nodded his head and quickly picked the lock, saying, “Don’t ask how I know this.” Turning to her once they were inside, he looked for guidance on what to do -- whether he should turn on the lights or if that was too obvious and they should dance in the dark, even just what room to go to for practicing late at night at all, Tristan needed all the guidance he could get. Now that they were inside, though, he felt a rush of excitement at having done something kind of bad -- after all, the last time he’d gotten detention, he’d ended up with his best friends, all because they’d broken different rules at the same time. Finally letting the tension slide out of his shoulders, he started to grin, saying, “Okay, this actually is kind of cool. Although it’ll be cooler if you can actually turn me into a good dancer -- where do we start?”
