I sigh and run a hand through my hair as I look over to Kelly who was reading a book in our penthouse living room... when did I start to say our? I just shrug and hang up the phone and go over behind her. She smirks “You know you can’t sneak up on me.” She says not looking up from her book. “I know just want you to know I am here when you need me” She closes the book and puts a hand on my cheek behind her as I lean over and kiss me after she turns around “I know what’s up?” “The bidders have something to share with us about her parents.” She quickly gets up and nods “then lets go”
We go to the penthouse lounge and she sits on the love seat as I sit beside her arm around her waist. Eisuke showed up the bruises just a light black and blue color now, mostly faded. Everyone sits as they tell her the story that everyone dug up. Her parents were threatened to turn over all the artifacts including the ring so could be sold. They threatened to kill them, at the time Kelly was young they didn’t know they had a child. They being a very violent well known mafia group with far reach. So her parents ran and hid, left her behind hoping someone would take her. Instead they where going to send her to an orphanage but Kelly ran instead starting life as a thief. They found her parents but with the mafia still after them they are to scared to come out of hiding.
Kelly’s jaw clenches after hearing everything hands in fists shaking. “What mafia was it again?” The bidders shake their heads and I rub her back softly. “It’s fine you don’t need to know.” She shakes her head determined and looks me straight in my eyes with the determined look I got used to. “Fine it’s an Italian mafia, the main mob, the godfather rules all.” She groans and slumps in her seat. The others looking at her sadly. “Isn’t anyone going to help?” I kiss the top of her head. “Don’t worry a plans already in motion” She gets up and shrugs leaving to our penthouse and I quietly sigh.
I rub the back of my neck. “Don’t know if it was the right thing to do.” Baba shakes his head “She should know, no one would be happy without knowing.” Shuichi nods “I dug deep for all that information, she should know and at least you are helping.” Mamoru nods “Interpol is still tracking them sooner or later they will be caught.” Ota, Eisuke, and luke stay silent. Luke wasn’t even paying attention.
I just get up and order room service for us in out penthouse. We just sit and eat staying quiet for once. I didn’t want to push her since she obviously had things on her mind. It was unusual for it to be silent but I didn’t blame her. After she finishes eating she just goes to bed and I clean up. An unwritten rule where she cooks I clean just became a habit. I finally finish and go to bed pulling her to me and fall asleep.
-Near midnight-
I wake up to a note on her pillow. “I will be back just have something to deal with. Please stay safe and don’t get involved. It’s something I have to do myself.” I quickly get up and check our wardrobe, her black wolf outfit and mask gone. I check the gun safe and see one of my guns gone. I never gave her the combination but I knew she could break in. I change quickly and call the bidders to the lounge as I pace there. They come in rubbing their eyes. “What the hell is wrong with you calling us so late?” Eisuke complains. “To late for this” Mamoru lights a cigarette. “Kelly’s gone! She must have gone after the godfather” Baba and ota start nudging each other.
What is it?” “Ummmm...” Ota pauses and baba stands in front of him. “We kind of borrowed her mask and your cellphone one day. I put a gps on her mask and ota painted over it to blend it in. Your cellphone can trace it.” I dither between pulling the gun and thanking them. I sigh and nod checking my phone and see it at the mobs headquarters my face palling. “Don’t tell me, she went to their headquarters” Shuich asked and I nod. I call the ice dragons and run out guessing the others would help but get the Dragons to go.
-15 Minutes later, which felt like hours-
I go the ice dragons to surround the building and some to come in with me. I see Mamoru, Eisuke, and Luke there. Luke has a medical bag which I hope to god we don’t need. Mamoru has his badge and gun ready to call in reinforcements when needed. I kick the door in and start running in getting the others to subdue the others as I run to the office where I hear a gunshot and I kick my way in as I see Kelly grab her right shoulder the gun she had on the floor. “Oh so the black wolf came to see me, and Ice dragons right behind. Unlikely kingship, unless of course you are the last in line Ford (last name of Kelly)” “Get your hands up and you will live.” He smirks after I said it dropping his gun “Only did in self defense you’ll see” I growl and punch him out then take kelly to the car to luke.
“Soryu... I’m ... sorry” She says her shoulder bleeding pretty bad as I hurry her to the car. “LUKE” He runs over and bandages her shoulder and takes off the mask. “We need to go to my surgery room” We three pile in and I hold kelly in my lap. “Stay awake Kelly, please, I need you” She smiles weekly as she closes her eyes. We finally arrive and I place her on the table then luke pushes Eisuke and I out. I start pacing “I’m sorry Soryu” Eisuke just says “It’s fine, we were bound to clash sooner or later but right now we need to worry about Kelly” He nods and sits watching me pace as the other bidders start trickling in all staying silent. We all wait silently to hear news of Kelly.
Sorry it was a super long one this time, just hope everyone has enjoyed the story so far. One more part and this story is over. So we’ll see what I think up next or see what requests come in. Thank you so much for following this long story!
