Are you thinking of applying for PT programs for the next cycle? This website is a good place to start! Find “Program directory”: 1. Important deadlines 2. Prerequisites (differ with each program) 3. Score Requirements *minimum requirement differ with each program. It’s a good idea to start early and see which programs best fit your aspirations but also see if you meet their qualifications to apply.

This semester I had to balance my school work with my application. Here is how my binder was split up so I could easily access my class work and have a separate section for my (PTCAS) application materials.  P.S. - a planner helped out as well. I don’t like using my phone calendar, just my preference.

So this is a super in depth document but probably one of the most helpful things for anyone applying to PT school.  It outlines who got in by gender, race, school, major, GPA, and GRE scores.  Although it’s really long, it is worth flipping through, as it will give you a general idea as to where you stand (especially with GPA and GRE scores).  There’s about 80 pages of data including graphs, charts, and tables, and it kinda tickles my little nerdy heart.  Applying to PT schools was easily one of the scariest experiences of my life, and having this in front of me definetly would have eased my nerves a little bit!

Becoming a PT is a long and arduous road. So, if you made it to the point of  being eligible to apply congrats!

What makes you eligible to apply?

Most schools but not all require that you have a bachelors degree. Seems simple enough but of course there is more, in order to become eligible to apply to PT school you must have a required amount of prerequisite courses. Here you will find which courses each individual school require.
