Why The United States Government Shut Down

basically, both sides of congress refuse to compromise, so  the government has no money until the budget is agreed upon. only "necessary" federal agencies and programs are kept running, and then only with skeleton crews. of course, congress still gets paid to be immature, spoiled rotten children and argue until someone either gives up or they grow up and come up with a solution to actually benefit the entire country and not just themselves. there are thousands, if not more, who cant work right now, and aren't getting paid, because the assholes that somehow run our government need to say "haha, we beat you" to the opposing side - WHILE STILL GETTING PAID THEMSELVES TO DO IT. they're still getting paid even though they couldn't DO THEIR DAMN JOB. they should just not get paid until something is agreed upon. and lets see then how fast a compromise is worked out.
