also by nature of how the lady captures her whumpees, everyone is wlw to some degree! amy is omni, riley is bi, etc., but that part is consistent <3

same age as calyx! she's also been with the lady since she was 18 or thereabouts

very sweet and trusting. at first

is kept (almost) constantly blindfolded + eventually has to wear a shock collar full time also

lady morgan

literally evil

amy

immensely self sacrificial in this. very constantly guilty

stoic until [redacted]

attempts to be a carewhumpee but mostly is just a whumpee. gets attached to sparrow really quick & this is exploited. obviously.

riley

unofficial leader!

has not been there the longest, is not even the oldest, just somehow has the right attitude that everyone goes ok i will listen to u

is the only one to call the lady by her first name in private (they aren't allowed; riley doesn't give a fuck)

daphne

very kind, very no nonsense

the oldest of the group (25?)

the best liar - can and will lie to cover up other people's mistakes and has successfully avoided punishment because of this

wren

after their gf (sparrow 1) died, they refuse to let anyone call them by their old name.

made one escape attempt after sparrow's death and failed - has accepted that they will never leave now

the cook and unofficial medic; they are the second most trusted after finch and have a tiny little garden to grow things for salves etc.

jamie (god i love u jamie)

fucking fiesty!!! well. in private. when they're around the lady they've learnt to Not be like that

best friends with daphne. due to this they bicker the most but also have each others backs always

newest recruit before amy - they've been there ~3 months at the time of the party, and ~18? months by the time amy shows up

the only one other than wren allowed to go outside unsupervised

planning an amy-centric sequel to avo and Oh man. oh man. this is going to be intense

the stars that aligned to get everything so perfect for post tenebras lux.... the fact that on a whim we decided that amy would be an angel. Ages ago. the fact that the concept for sparrow was born from a nickname that amy called calyx after a bad interaction with the lady. the fact that all the bird names alliterate and angel alliterates with amy.... it's like. perfect. AND the fact that other ideas for amethyst's name were seraph or diamond. like come on. it could not be going better right now

as it stands i think ptl is going to be structured quite differently to avo - i'll post essentially an exposition thing and then it'll be sort of a prompt based thing rather than chapters. i have a few big story beats to do obviously but i'll take it slow. also in this way i think it will let me spotlight more characters. as opposed to how avo has primarily focused on calyx
