While lipsynching isn’t the favorable option, I really hope some of the rookie groups with 14-16 year olds belting have the chance to lipsynching during those month long promotions. While proper technique for singing does help reduce the need to lipsynch, when you’re at or reaching the age of puberty, that straight up destroys your vocal chords. Vocal technique itself is about knowing where your limits are and when to stop using your voice, so if the company doesn’t understand that, I hope the rookie performers do. Singing live is important, but maintaining the health in your voice MUCH more important.
