Theoretical perspective of selfie and narcissism:
Narcissism is not just a single trait, but a confluence of several related qualities:
1-self-sufficiency: feeling that you can do it on your own and that you don't need others.
2-Vanity: Concern for appearance, and a propensity to admire your own physical look.
3-Leadership: Believing that you should have power over others, and being willing to exploit others if necessary.
4-Request for Admiration: Exhibitionism, feeling entitled to special status or privileges, and feeling superior to others.
Not everyone who scores high on the overall narcissism scale automatically shares all of those qualities.
Some researchers from America examined a sample of American men and studying samples of adults from Poland—both men and women, measuring narcissism and selfie-posting behavior. The results showed that overall, women posted more selfies than men did.
Thus, the researchers examined these different facets of narcissism to see which ones were most correlated with selfie-posting. They released that the existence of a significant correlation most certainly doesn’t mean that everyone who posts frequent selfies is a narcissist, it can explain only a small amount of the selfie-posting behavior that we observe on social media. Nowadays, this digital media extremely popular in today’s society and it has become a part of everyday life. Users can create their own profile and share personal information about themselves, including selfies.

Celebrity culture is a symbiotic business relationship from which performers obtain wealth, honors, and social power in exchange for selling a sense of familiarity to audiences. They get Enormous salaries are commonplace, Multimillion dollar contracts for athletes, singers and actors in comparison to their revenues from advertising.
Example: As many artist, the first female model from Saudi Arabia known as model roz, she always promotion in her posts or selfies about hair vitamins, shoes, lenses, etc.
Finally, I think the people who always posting-selfies are with a narcissistic personality. This related to the development of digital media and advertising as the celebrities do.
