All community-based, volunteer-run: busy #streets are closed to cars w/day-long #festivities to promoting alternative movement, #sustainability, & regain additional open #publicspace ... Both #festivals are #carfree & #carefree ~ they encourage people to interact w/ each other while reducing CO2 emissions. #streetfestival like these are non-profit; featuring artisans, artists, businesses, & food vendors, plus #liveperformances : #music , spoken word, #dance & more.
