anyway something i found out yesterday is that Agnes Digital and Agnes Tachyon were owned by the same guy. this part isn’t surprising, as it is common racehorse practice for a breeder or owner to have a “calling card” to show a horse is one of theirs, particularly if they’re calling back to a prominent race winner in the horse’s pedigree.

What WAS surprising is that unlike Agnes Tachyon, Agnes Digital

1) wasn’t bred by him

2) does not share even a single biological relative with Tachyon, despite the irl Tachyon having MULTIPLE mare full siblings (Agnes Proton, for example) and a very prolific USA sire (Sunday Silence, who also sired Silence Suzuka)

3) that Agnes Digital was a FULLY USA bred horse he bought to enter in the Japanese racing league.
