Okay, I know I have been recently very vocal about my disappointment with House of the Dragon and how it eventually turned out, but I just learned today that in the Warsaw zoo a little Pudu deer was born.

It’s a girl and her name is Sasanka and she absolutely stole people’s hearts so far 🥹 for those who don’t know, Pudu deers are one of the smallest deer species in the world - adults are usually not higher than 40 cm.

That being said, I would like to propose an idea for a fanfic about Lyonel Baratheon giving his dear wife a herd of Pudu deers not only because they are a type of his sigil animal, but also because they are so cute and he loves his wife so much 🥹

Btw, the lil fella is a South-Pudu, the tinyest deer in the Living World after the North-Pudu - not related by blood or marriage. Fully grown, they barely reach 40cm with their shoulders and weigh more or less 7kg. Their habitat are the mountain woods of the Andes. Their distribution area is very limited and so is the population of the Pudu. They´re listed as "vulnerable" by the IUCN, endangered by habitat destruction, illegal hunting and animals, that don´t belong in this part of the world.

I know, with this post I will not save any one of these little cuties. But maybe I got some poeple more interested in nature conservation...
