July 4, to Bami
Let’s just say that the spirit rose from the bed this morning, before the body, Or the other way round?.. anyways, there was a disconnect. It was a hell of a weekend of riding and today’s reward was some recovery time.
So I wrote lots of email and did lots of Facebooking. The crazy thing about the hours of the day here in Sevilla, in Spain maybe, is that after about 5:00 they just run away. Honestly, you look suddenly and it’s 9:30pm... then after a few laughs (and a cerveza or two maybe), it’s 2am.
I think it was 7 or 8ish when I decided to jump on the bike for a quick evening steer, and my left-ing and right-ing eventually took me to the foot of the Puente del V Centenario, which I’d never seen so close up. When Abraham messaged me a half hour after I took this pic, I had ridden to a cafe in Bami and was sitting with my second cafe con leche. I had clocked about 15kms, according to the Bikemap app, which was plenty excuse for me to head off and wrap the night with great people and fabulous traditional Spanish food.
With the Good Winds Bike Tour just around the corner, it’s time for some announcements. Watch this page, starting tomorrow as we step into the final week before the Swiss flight to Zürich. Like oh my God, did I just say that?
