Hello, just got home from vet.
Dr. Covey put neon stain in Heidi's eye and after looking at Heidi's eyes with lights on and lights off says she is cautiously optimistic about Heidi's eye ulcer. I still get teary eyed when I see that neon dye put in her eyes. Heidi's ears are still infected, so she got a cortisone shot. I had to get more blood plasma for her eyes, and a antibacterial antifungle ear med to swab her ears with. We are to continue with the tobramycin drops three times a day. My other pug sweet Leigha has infection in her eyes. Dr. Covey said she more than likely got the ifection from Heidi. She is now on Tobramycin drops three times a day as well.
Dr. Covey said I can use Heidi's drops until I can get some for Leigha, but she will need to be seen if the infection doesn't respond to the drops.
There is a med for allergies Dr. Covey would like to start Heidi on. It would be once a week and stronger because her infections are chronic. The benadryl four times a day is not working.
I also need to buy some more Rimadyl, to keep the swelling down in Heidi's ears and eyes. The cortisone shot will do for a few days then I need to buy the Rimadyl.
I paid 68.00 today and have to pay balance before next appointment. I also have to buy the meds she needs. My Internet is due to be shut off and that sucks. So I am not sure if I will be online in a few days. I swear when it rains it pours. Keep Heidi and Leigha in your thoughts and prayers. Please Share. Thank You.
