Reposted from @zoe___puppy___ I just met this sweet cutie today, Her name is Milly and she is very sick with an aggressive cancer. I am sharing this post so she can get the help that she needs. This sweet girl is 7 years old and now she is facing a very hard battle which she won't have to face alone. What a great way to kick off summer break! #pullingtogether was a blast! Hot? Yes. But the wind rolling across the river would offer some relief, as well as ice cold beers, delicious food truck options and frozen delights! This was a first time event & we look forward to making it an annual to do! The Groskreutz family specifically supported #friendsoffraser STP (who beat MPLS), but of course ultimately, we are just thrilled to see that over $200,000 was raised to support other kiddos as well as adults with ASD through Fraser Services. 1 in 68 gang... just saying... @aleczilla_g was diggin' getting to pose with one of the STP @mnrg RollerGirls sporting her Darth Vader tattoo (who also WON over Glam Doll Donuts of MPLS!). I inadvertently sweet talked 😘 our way onto the river cruise after party where we got to meet Bill Gallagher and his DJ’s Tug of War Club, who trained many of the teams for the challenges today. Also on the boat was Diane Cross, president & CEO of Fraser. I was amazed to hear how much @FraserMinnesota has grown, developed, and expanded on services since Alec's younger days when we required more support. Truly warmed my heart to speak with a woman that cares so deeply for this group & is willing to take time to listen to a mom of a young adult with autism. Knowing they have transition support and job placement, we will no doubt be reaching out for Alec soon! If you are so lucky to be at event & spot the @friofriomn ice lollies cart, you absolutely MUST treat yourself to these scrumptious delights! They are creative in both appearance and in flavor combinations. A HUGE thanks to Chris for being kind enough to personal reply to my inquiry just one day prior to the #pullingtogether event with an ingredients listing of the scrumptious frozen treats he was offering during the event. @aleczilla_g had a great variety of #GFCF treats to choose from. He settled on Pineapple Chili, and among the rest of our group we had a chance to taste virtually every one.
