The Abbot, whose voice is like a song, looked happy to see me today, and you know what? I was happy to see him too, because he is a pleasant guy to interact with. He knows the basics of my order. He knows I don't want any meat. He was generous with everything. I had such faith in him, that I didn't even watch while I dug around in my brand new wallet for my Qdoba gift card! That's right. This episode is brought to you by close friend of the blog, Kalah. I met her through work when I interviewed her in 2010, and now she's kind of my boss, but I don't really listen to her. Every day I send Kalah the emoticon with the cool sunglasses and she sends me the emoticon with the kissy face. I take photos of her from social media and I put Ghostface Killah's head on her body in Photoshop to make Ghostface Kalah. She got me this cute little wallet and a Qdoba gift card because she loves me. I love her too.
If you see someone with this wallet who isn't me, beat them up and steal it, because this is my wallet.
Anyway, the burrito was great, and I discovered that I still earn points even when paying with a gift card. That was something I wasn't sure of. There was actually somebody buying popcorn at Laura's Gourmet Popcorn today. That's the first time I've seen someone in there other than the bored worker who is usually just staring at their phone. The customer left with a big clear plastic bag full of popped corn, a smile on his face as he munched on a couple kernels.

I bought a random blue squash as one of my Halloween pumpkins this year. I drew a face on it in marker rather than carving it. I draw on one every year because when I was a kid my dad hated carving jack-o'-lanterns and told me it was painful for the pumpkins and that Sharpie was more humane. (Yep, imagine walking through your neighborhood trick-or-treating and seeing the tortured remains of all those pumpkins.)
Anyway, I drew a butt on it.
