I take the pumpkin from @pensandsliverswords and with reverence load it into his homemade trebuchet AKA the YEETER. I notice the pumpkin has “GET LUVED NERDS” doodled on the back with permanent marker from @get-loved-nerd doing their thing. This makes me smile.

Once the loving nerdy pumpkin is properly loaded, I step well away and with a mischievous grin I then smack my lovely wife @authortobenamedlater on her rear who then is snapped back into reality with a blush to begin the firing sequence.

Off to the side @morganas-pendragons is ugly blubber crying because @ionlymadethissoicouldleaveanask has convinced her that the pumpkin shot looks a bit like Carter A-259’s helmet has been carved into the front of it. It has been, in fact, carved by @ionlymadethissoicouldleaveanask much to his twisted delight. Through choked sobs it sounds like @morganas-pendragons is saying “you’ve got the mass, hit him hard.”

This draws a moment of silence and respect for Noble team from the assembled crowds. Also when the Celebrimbor Jack-o-lantern comes up next @morganas-pendragons is going to be utterly inconsolable for weeks.

@authortobenamedlater silently nods at @thefinaljediknight who in turn draws her lightsaber and shouts a command to @zelda-was-here who salutes from atop her saddled alligator at @enigma-absolute who finally, with great glee and a fangirl shriek, pulls the pin and lets the pumpkin fly.

At the far end of the test range is @pepperonyscience @dearlittlefandom-stalker @purple-purple-pink-purple @novelmonger & @rainintheevening who jump into action like it’s Dodgeball 2.0 and they all dive for cover at the incoming pumpkin shot. They then gather up the puréed remains, scooping it into a barrel.

We repeat this process until we have enough pumpkin bits and proceed to make the smoothest pumpkin pie, cookies and other pumpkin based goodies and good times are had by all.

YEET!

Heading out to the Sheepdog Trials in Rural Hill, NC today.  Sounds interesting, and I'm sure my niece will find it entertaining.  They also have pumpkin chunkin, which I want to see, lol.
