Talk about the first ship you ever had.
Oh, man. It was probably Harry/Ginny, which 12 year old me shipped hugely and completely. But then I discovered fic and just sort of fell out of love with it I guess.
2. Talk about three of the most important ships throughout your life.
First is definitely Jorian. If it weren't for Almost Human there is no way that i would be as deeply involved in fandom as I am now. The fic I wrote for them is still some of my favorite that I've done and the people I've meet through the fandom are so very important to me.
Second, SamSteveBucky and variations. I love SamSteve because it's gentle and sweet and so perfect, and I like SamBucky because it's exciting and sharp and careful, and I like SteveBucky because it's sharp-edged and painful and ultimate, but I like them all together best because they're all of that and more, and all I really really want.
As for the third...there's this manga called Worst and when i read it all those years ago (more like 3, I'm being dramatic) no one else knew it and even now probably no one does. But in it were this two guys, Takumi and Shougo, and the sexual tension and obvious loyalty between them made my write my first fanfic. It was filled with metaphors and clothes descriptions and it was terrible. But it was the start of something.
25. Have you ever shipped a pairing before you even started watching the show/movie simply because of gifs and graphics or similar?
I got into most of my fandoms like that tbh. And honestly, i have this terrible habit of never finishing any series I start (or in fact never starting it at all) because I immediately dive into fic. When I was a kid I was really into Gundam Wing fic for a while which is unbelievable,because I've never even watched a fucking episode of Gundam Wing. Right now I ship Mickey/Ian from Shameless US and I've also never watched an episode of that show, though I probably should.

Devour a Sunless Day by oneinspats
This is a LotR fic. And the pairing is Eomer/Grima Wormtongue, which tells you a lot about me. No, but seriously, don't get misled by the pairing, this is one of those stories that's utterly the opposite of what you might imagine. The prose is utter perfection and it's the fic I read about once a year because it inspires me and makes me want to write.
On the Midtown direct by mistresscurvy
Okay, this is when I was still in bandom, but that's misleading, because this isn't a fic per say. It's an AU that's basically a standalone story. It's beautiful, it's funny and even if you're not into the fandom or RPF in general, you should still read this story.
Road to Ithaca by stickmarionette
I recced this fic to my dad. Yes, you read that right. I read this fic about four years ago and it's been hugely formative for me because it's defined me as a FC Barcelona fan and as a football fan in general. I just feel like some of the most important things I know about football and life, I learned from this fic.
Part Right, Half Wrong, a Third Crazy by save the rave
So this is another one of those fics that aren't fics, but original works that stand alone. It's an Hetalia AU that you can read even if you have no idea what that is. I remember when I first read it, I was up for almost 24 hours straight because I NEEDED to know what happens. It's not completed and that still haunts me to this day.

Isn't it ironic that I'm only reccing one fic from my arguably biggest fandom? This is my fault though. I never read fic from the fandom I write in.
But this one is the essential SamSteveBucky fic. It's the fic I would have wanted to write for them, because it captures the tension and insecurity of it forming perfectly and the characterization is so perfect it makes me want to weep.

mangopuffs writes some of the best Jorian fic and they are also a genuinely adorable person
antiquecompass writes any combination of SamSteveBucky and they are all perfect and she uses Bruce Springsteen lyrics for fic titles and I just love her ok.
