you did gifsets with daemons, right? i listened to the audiobook of northern lights this last week and it was so good. i haven't read the book in like 13 years and i'd half forgotten it and i'd completely forgotten about the whole lord azrael bit at the end and i only remembered when lyra was on the way to his lab and i was just fuming on the train home from work. and now i have to wait a couple of months before i can get the audiobook of the next one

I’ve made this one for @obishenshenobi and I began writing a fic (that I never finished...) to go with it, and I also made this one for @vablatsky ‘s birthday ages ago too, but I haven’t touched the HDM AU in ages, although it is one of my very favorite ones <3

oh man, i don't really listen to the podcast but i love cracked, nothing is a better distraction at 4am in the library when you're deliriously trying to complete an essay than '5 ways to commit crime on horseback'

ah yes, while doing my research, i realised it was an actual site as well? (i am ignorant, forgive me) and the first page had something about conspiracy theories (aka, something i adore!!!) and i’ll probably spend my lecture tomorrow browsing through the site haha!!

...and i would be distracted by that as well. pls tell me some cool ways, i’ll stop by and pick you up with a horse :’)

also more pride/miner's strike au stuff, my dad's from the south wales valleys near where that's set and he told me that during the miner's strike (dunno if it was 84 or 26) there was a bend in the reailway tracks that was called robber's bend where the trains had to slow to turn and people would jump onto the train and fill sacks with coal and chuck them off and then spread them around the community to people who needed them. Not sure how true the story is but could see young thorin doing that

I'm just reading over my essay and I spotted that I've written "the purpose of the ship is to bring the two lovers together"... Even in academic writing I can't get away from fandom!!! Also punksergeant is distracting me... higherthanthebeasts is being a good little angel and actually getting work done While I sit here and read the same two lines of my essay over and over again...
