For the character development thingy: Shay - 16, 28, 33. Cinna - 2, 11, 13 . Salt - 6, 25, 30. Rookie - 3, 20, 42 ---- <3
16. Do they dream? What are those dreams like?She has very vivid dreams, and often turns them into stories.
28. What are they likely to do if they have the opportunity, resources, and time to accomplish it? Why? Raise more children. Shay adores kids, and if she could, she’d adopt every child she could. As it is, raising Emi is hard enough, so she’s waiting on adopting more.
33. How do they learn about the world–what is their preferred learning style? Hands-on learning with trial and error? Research, reading, and note-taking? Observation or rote memorization? Inductive or deductive reasoning? Seeking patterns and organization? Taking things apart and putting them back together? Creative processing via discussing, writing about, or dramatizing things?Research. She does a lot of curious googling that leads to a rabbit hole of new things to research, and sometimes Percy will find her reading long scientific papers about a species of ant only found in China at 5 in the morning, when she started by looking up the history of the word “square” the night before.
2. How much physical space do they use, active and at rest?It depends on how comfortable he is. If he’s anxious, he’ll try to use as little space as possible, squeezing himself into tiny spaces so he can hide. If he’s comfortable, he’ll sprawl out and take up more room than seems physically possible.
11. How are they vocally expressive? What kind of voice, accent, tones, inflections, volume, phrases and slang, and manner of speaking do they use?He swears a lot. A lot of slang is still unfamiliar to him, but he’s picking up on it from Salt and Pepper. When he’s anxious, his voice will get much quieter and he’ll often pause to try and gather his thoughts, or just trail off mid sentence.
13. How do they greet the world — what is their typical attitude towards life? How does it differ in different circumstances, or towards different subjects? Why do they take these attitudes, and why do they change? How do these tend to be expressed?For the most part, his attitude towards life is fear. New things, new people, new places - all of these can easily be overwhelming to him. He’s getting better about it but change is very difficult for him.
@pastel-clark he’s your son okay
3. How do they position themselves in a group? Do they like to be the center of attention, or do they hang back at the edges of a crowd?They’re not in the center, but not on the edge. They’re involved but not too involved. However if you need them for something they’re always there.
20. What kind of individual relationships do they have with others, and how do they behave in them? How are they different between intimate relationships like friends, family, and lovers versus more impersonal relationships?They’re aroace so no lovers. Honestly they are pretty consistent - sweet, kind, always looking to help.
42. I have a question of my own![3:59 PM] puppehgal: What sort of literature would they readRookie likes fantasy! And sci-fi.
