I don’t know if I’m gonna draw any more Spamtenna anytime soon, so I probably won’t finish these wips I have, but I figured I’d post them anyways since some are mostly done and others aren’t but have some nice drawings.

This one I drew sometime after I went from drawing with pens/markers in my sketchbook to just pencil on scrap paper. Nothing wrong with this comic though lol. The serious locked in Pluey makes me laugh still, but I never colored the whole thing because I stopped using these materials and I was worried I’d lose all that expression if I colored it in with dark brown marker. You can tell this page is a little older though, since it’s got Spam with little feet instead of just stubs.

This one was maybe going to be used to answer an ask about sneotenna, but again, I stopped using pens/markers.

Same as above but with an ask about something else.

Unfinished puppetfication comic. I’ve had this wip for a while and I just never finished it. I made this a little after my last puppetfication comic, the one where Spamton gets possessed and the rainbow pencil was used for the strings on him, but I never had the inspiration to continue this one. Spamton would have been seen darting out of his office and he’d run into Tenna in the hallway. After that, Tenna innocently greets him and it would have been a comic about Spamton frantically trying to cover his transformation while trying to get away. I didn’t have much more concretely planned beyond what is seen on this page, though.

And then this one I drew more recently, as you can see by the stubby Spamton legs (spam after I changed how I drew him recently). This page is almost completely finished aside from some backgrounds, but the idea here was to have them meet up after some kind of argument and reconcile. A sort of “I don’t need you! Just wait and see how popular I am without someone like you holding me back!” Then they just end up missing each other and having to apologize. The middle panel with Tenna falling would have been him getting kicked out of the Castle Town Cafe and growing to his default size upon exit. I liked the visual gag of him getting his foot caught in the comedically tiny door on the way out, so that’s what’s going on with his pose in that fourth panel lmao. This comic probably would have been a longer one and I think that’s why I never finished it, since I was on my way out of the insane Spamtenna drawing brainrot.

I’m sure I’ll draw more of them in the future don’t worry, but I don’t see myself getting on that crazy grind like I was on after Deltarune ch3&4 anytime soon. I have been drawing… a little something else though so watch out for that lol.

What if part of Spamton’s transformation into a puppet included him having to cough up all his blood and innards until he’s hollow? Imagine the feel of it, the torturous pain, but also the weight of your body leaving you.

I have a lot of thoughts about his puppetfication and how he’s literally transforming not only into a puppet caricature of himself, but into a different Darkner all together. I don’t know if I’ve really seen anyone touch on how he seems to have gone from a representation of spam emails to spam calls, but I definitely think he has. He used to be nothing but the email guy, but all we see of him in canon is a bunch of spam call attacks, visuals, audio clips, songs, etc. The very essence of what he is has changed, down to the magic he can conjure. And all of it changed to reflect the calls that ruined him in the first place…

in the howls au is spamtons version of keeping the gray hair going to be having the puppet lines or something else?

Yeah, I was thinking he’d have both! Once his curse is all over, he’ll have white hair and puppet scars.

Idk if you've been asked this before, but I've noticed you mentioned multiple times in posts with having comic wips.

And since you do then on paper, how do you manage to have multiple WIPs going on? Do you work on em in the same book somehow, or do you use different ones?

I usually work on comics with pens all day until I want a break, then I switch to pencil. I just pick up the wips on either side from wherever I left off. Pen/marker always goes in my sketchbook. Pencil always goes on clipboard paper and then away into non-sketchbook storage.
