Happy pride month to my favorite bisexual femme fatale vampire <3
season's greason's
The fact that Banksy revealed himself like right before this season of D20 started, but since they clearly filmed before that happened, makes every single Banksy reference funnier than the last!
Like, could you imagine if they end up outing Banksy somehow, in show, and we could all plausibly suspect that not only are vampires real but for some reason the creators and cast of Dimension 20 are in on it (Probly via Sam Reich nepo baby illuminati connections) and so they chose to do an extremely tongue-in-cheek wink the the audience about it.
And also Banksy might be a vampire too?!?
It’s so funny that their using his persona for the virtue of it being anonymous but like… the entire audience now knows who Bansky is and can easily google him
Quote from an article on Superfan about the building of the Purpee map:
"We were inspired by Ashland, Oregon, and I was also thinking of other similar small towns like Denton, Texas, and Bellingham, Washington and the quintessential elements of those places Skye [Smith] our lorekeeper took the lead on deep diving into Ashland, where I know they have some experience living."
also
"From there we tried to build something that felt real and unique but was a gamified, smaller version of a big city. We looked at the Springfield map from The Simpsons and things like that, where you have these maps that function, but are abstractions of what a real city map would be."
and
"I know Brennan had a cheat map that said, “This is definitely where this is. Here are some likely places where this might be,” so that could be flexible with him. Certain buildings could be the mall, but they could also be the high school. If he needed to, over the course of the game, he could decide on the fly."
Which tells us a bunch of interesting stuff on where to pull for fic inspo.

I don't know if this has been done yet but I felt unnecessarily called to make this as a continuously mentioned 23 year old adult from 2002. Enjoy <3
this season is the first time i really feel like im watching the characters and not the players
like im fully in purpee with these guys
not to say that the players aren't bringing me joy or that i noticed them too much in other seasons but i just realized that when bat child is spitting out all these animal facts emily also has to know them and ive barely been thinking about the real life player at all this season
ive been totally entrhalled with these characters
Finally watching this week's CCOD and im always surprised people don't know that the right wing evangelicals are, in fact, in the marijuana business. They're the locals who had the capital to start up business once it was legal (as opposed to the hippies who were already growing pre-legalization, and the Californians who moved up).
Additionally, yes. The Thai food is very good (also evidence that this is more GP than Ashland).
The Whitaker pretending to be a territorial governor and causing problems with the native tribes... very subtle way to put in a little nod to the Rogue Indian Wars.
