I don’t know much about the CF campaign, not being in the fandom at the time, but that sounds like a terrible idea! Their whole approach to SDCC is weird to me tbh, definitely a missed opportunity. Loving the current online campaign though.

I mean, call me odd, but selling $1000 dresses as a tie-in for a franchise that addresses income inequality just strikes me as not particularly well-advised.
Honesrly, all of the marketing irritations make me realize how much worse the movies could be because the studio clearly seems not to grok the themes of the book AT ALL. Thank goodness for francis and nina!
