"They play in the Meadow. The dancing girl with the dark hair and blue eyes. The boy with blond curls and gray eyes, struggling to keep up with her on his chubby toddler legs."
Happy belated mother's day to Katniss Everdeen.
commissions open! And I still have 3 sale slots left!
I haven’t done an Everlark piece in a long time. I did them post Mockingjay. Instead of “Men where” on the meme, I did “Gale where”.
My baby 🥹
Without boarder
Peeta absolutely had a fantasy growing up of Katniss coming to his house with her bow and rescuing him from his mother, maybe taking him to live in the woods together. If he ever admits this to her it is only through extreme cajoling, and when he does it his entire face is so red she thinks he’s about to pass out.
warm evening with the toothy creatures
Katniss definitely didn’t stop being the pillar of the community after the war. It would take a while for her to come out of her depression shell of course, but the idea that she became a recluse after the war always bothers me.
Katniss was out here being the pillar of district 12 in middle school and was the MLK of Panem at 17 so the idea that she wouldn’t be able to be part of the community in times of peace is crazy.
Katniss definitely read to orphan kids and taught an archery class when someone asked. She definitely brought game to the hob the moment she was able to. You needed your driveway cleared, never fear! It’s the mockingjay with a shovel!
The only thing Peeta Mellark ever convinced Katniss of was that the world was safe and inherently good enough to bring children into.
