The other big news today is that the Republican National Committee, meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, censured Representatives Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) for joining the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol. Defending the events surrounding January 6, the RNC said that the investigation is “a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”

Hours after the RNC’s statement, (former VP Mike) Pence told the Federalist Society that January 6 had been a “dark day.” Pence said, “President Trump is wrong. I had no right to overturn the election. The presidency belongs to the American people and the American people alone.” He added that “there’s nothing more un-American” than to have “any one person...choose the American president.”

Certainly, Trump loyalist Stephen Bannon recognized Pence’s words as a defection. On his podcast, Bannon addressed Pence, saying: “You are a stone cold coward…. My head’s blowing up.... I can’t take Pence…and Marc Short and all these Koch guys up there ratting out Trump up on Capitol Hill right now.”

It seems to me, that one does not “rat out” someone you know to be innocent.

Section 2: Any laws or decrees issued by the legislature will be effective only if I approve them, and I retain the right to unilaterally veto any and all laws passed.

Article III: The Judiciary Section 1: The judicial system shall function under my direct oversight. All judges will be appointed by me, and their authority is solely derived from my command. Section 2: The judiciary exists to enforce my will, interpret laws as I decree, and maintain order in the manner I specify. Any challenge to my decrees shall be null and void. Section 3: The judiciary shall have no power to overturn my actions or decisions.

Article IV: Military and Defense Section 1: I shall be the Commander-in-Chief of all armed forces, with the authority to mobilize, direct, and utilize military resources as I see fit. Section 2: I possess the sole authority to declare war or peace and to make all decisions regarding national defense. No military action may be taken without my explicit command.

Article V: The People Section 1: The people shall exist to serve the nation’s needs as defined by me. All individual freedoms, rights, and privileges will be granted only at my discretion. Section 2: Public demonstrations, petitions, and protests shall be regulated by my decree. I reserve the right to suppress any actions that challenge my authority or threaten national unity. Section 3: The people shall be subject to all decisions made in the interest of the nation, as determined by my leadership.

Article VI: Amendments Section 1: This Constitution may be amended or modified by me at any time in response to changing circumstances or my evolving judgment. Section 2: The people, the legislature, and any other body or institution shall have no power to amend or alter this Constitution without my express consent.

Article VII: The Transition of Power Section 1: In the event of my death, incapacitation, or inability to lead, I shall appoint a successor to continue my reign, ensuring the continuation of my policies and authority. Section 2: No other authority or individual shall have the power to designate a successor or change the leadership of the nation.

This reimagined Constitution centralizes power entirely within the President, abolishing checks and balances while granting the President total control over every branch of government and the people’s lives.
