2. silverflint

2. moving around while kissing, stumbling over things, pushing each other back against the wall/onto the bed

Flint’s thought about it before - has imagined taking Silver in his arms and kissing him with all his pent-up lust and longing. Has imagined sweeping him off his– well, his foot, now, and cradling him tenderly in his arms. Has imagined pressing his lips passionately to Silver’s as their bodies melt seamlessly into one another.

What he hadn’t imagined, but seems to be the reality of the situation, is what would happen if the sudden onslaught of passion made them both really fucking clumsy.

“Ouch,” he mumbles into Silver’s mouth as he pushes him up against the closest hard surface, Flint’s head knocking back painfully against the wall. He shoves Silver away and then pursues him ardently, walking him backward until Silver abruptly trips over something and nearly falls. Flint catches him and steers him the other way, but that just ends up with the two of them crashing into the desk.

“Fuck, that hurts,” Silver says against Flint’s lips, and urges him backward, away from the offending piece of furniture.

Finally they make it to the bed and tumble down, rolling around in each other’s arms, kissing eagerly and pawing at each other’s bodies. They’re safe now, Flint thinks. They’ve made it to their final destination without much bodily harm.

Then he rolls out of bed and lands unceremoniously on the floor with a shout.

Silver leans over the edge of the bed, looking adorably concerned, but he overestimates his own balance and falls forward, landing on top of Flint.

“Jesus wept,” Flint wheezes, pushing at Silver so at least he won’t have a bizarrely pointy elbow in his ribs. Silver starts to get up, but Flint puts a hand on his arm to stay him. “Better just do this down here, don’t you think?” he asks, not wanting to risk another fall.

“Wise decision,” Silver agrees, breathless.

Later, when they’re lying in a panting half-dressed puddle of sated limbs on the floor, Flint feels decidedly smug that he’s made it through their first encounter with just some splinters from the floor’s timbers in his palms and knees.

12. Silverflint

12. a hoarse whisper “kiss me”

This ended up kinda silly. I hope you enjoy it anyway. ;) <3

Flint shouldn’t look so good in that ridiculous getup - turban, face scarf and all - but he does, undeniably so.

Silver can think of only one thing when he sees Flint dressed that way, but he keeps his thoughts to himself until later that evening, when Flint returns, a little bruised and bloodied but otherwise no worse for the wear.

He keeps his thoughts to himself while Flint addresses the men. He keeps his thoughts to himself while Flint eats his dinner, and makes notes in his ledger.

Finally, once they’re alone and unencumbered, he says what he’s been thinking since the moment he saw Flint dressed like some ridiculous Arabian nights fantasy.

He backs him up against the desk of the room they’ve sequestered themselves in, only a little self-conscious about his own listing gait as he does. Flint looks a bit surprised at Silver’s aggression, but he just can’t help himself.

He leans in close, grasping Flint by the front of his shirt and hauling him in close.

“Kiss me,” he says hoarsely, finally giving voice to his thoughts. Flint wraps his arms around Silver and bends him back to grace him with a searing kiss, and–

“That isn’t how it happened,” Flint drawls from where he’s reading over Silver’s shoulder. “We didn’t kiss that night. You didn’t work up the nerve to do it for some time thereafter, and when you finally did, it was nothing like that.” He sounds amused, so Silver swats at him blindly over his shoulder, but he misses and Flint laughs.

“Let me write my story the way I want to.” He looks up at Flint, grinning crookedly. “Besides, seeing you in that outfit always did make me want to kiss you.” He pauses. “Do you think…?”

Later that night, Flint indulges him, and things finally happen like they did in Silver’s story.

13. following the kiss with a series of kisses down the neck

Still nothing too explicit here, apparently I’m in a fluffy mood today. This is just some pining and then eventually kissing, of course.

Flint has thought about kissing Silver many times, if he’s being honest with himself.

He thought about it the day they met, even as he was threatening him with a knife.

He thought about it after they successfully boarded the fucking warship together, against all odds.

He thought about it ardently and often after Silver lost his leg, and in Silver’s worst moments he worried he’d lose the chance altogether.

He doesn’t give in, though, until after they hunt the sharks together. After they save their men’s lives, just the two of them. He can feel Silver beaming at him when he thinks Flint’s not looking, and lord does he want to kiss that ridiculous smile.

So later that evening, after the sun has gone down, he does. They’re alone in his cabin and Silver is talking, like always, and Flint just– gives in, shuts him up with his mouth. He trails kisses along his whiskered jaw after he kisses that mouth, and kisses down the salty skin of his neck before finally pulling back.

Silver has a look on his face that Flint knows intimately - a look that says his entire world has just shifted, because of one kiss. Then Flint’s arms are full of enthusiastic Silver and their first kiss turns into their first everything.
