Wild violets in my yard - can you believe they are categorized as weeds? They smell earthy & sweet, and are the only colour right now as the grass and leaves start to grow. They make me happy and remind me of what Mark Twain wrote "Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it".
