okay! so for anyone who’s never heard of it, there’s this site, called purrli, where you can mess around and make your own purr. it’s very relaxing to listen to and also a fun writing tool for the purry au! so what i bring you today is what all the vampires’ purrs sound like, so you can listen to them yourselves! :D

After an emergency room visit, and an epic journey to the Bay Area to visit my doctor in which my car stalled out on the freeway, I’ve come away with the following:

My heart is normal, just beating hella fast.

My blood pressure is going up and down a bit, but is probably okay. 

My uterus does not have cancer.

The car is probably a loss.

Who the fuck knows what is going on with everything else; probably anxiety. Lose weight. Take a stress class. Take a Zoloft. w/e

It is probably anxiety, being driven along--hard--by hormone changes. In fact, pretty sure there’s a feedback loop there right now. I’m maintaining my work routine okay, but no amount of water, breathing, exercise, or happy thoughts seems to make a dent in this heart craziness. I’ll be looking carefully at my diet, times of day I eat, etc.

I’m just going to put out there that one of the most relaxing, anxiety reducing things I’ve found in this world is Purrli, the online purr generator. It’s so soothing.

I’m not sure how much of this is a my weird sensory issues thing and how much is a normal person thing but I will definitely breath in time with repetitive noises like music, noise generators, and happy kitty purrs. And Purrli has a way to change the rate at which purrs happen. (And basically every other thing you could imagine). Which works like a breathing exercise to keep you from anxiety breathing your way into a panic attack without forcing you to pay attention to your breath. (Which can add to your anxiety when you’re having trouble breathing).

We all need something nice and calm these days. This nice calm thing is free, online, and accessible for most devices (you might need to try earbuds if your phones doesn’t have a stellar speaker). I won’t leave a link here because I’m not sure if tumblr is still on that nonsense, but take a moment to look up the word Purrli and you will not regret it.
