Purry is 20, and so cute!! I'm considering adopting a senior kitty myself! Do you have any tips for senior cat care?
She’s definitely not as limber as she used to be, so she has trouble with grooming and climbing up on certain things. I have to trim her nails every couple weeks and I’ve started giving her occasional baths too. It helps to have a lot of low, warm places to nap in.
Even as a young cat she never really Played and she’s never had much of a predator drive, but she still loves looking out windows!!
Her favorite things right now are 1) the fireplace 2) a warm lap 3) tapping you while you’re eating so you give her some of your meat or cheese or whatever it is
She also has a few minor health issues. She lost her hearing a couple years ago, she has to have special food for her kidney issues, and within the past year she started growing a benign golf-ball-sized fatty tumor on her shoulder. She’s pretty frail and arthritic, and recently I’ve even been considering getting her some supplements or painkillers to help her feel more comfortable.
Otherwise she’s the sweetest, friendliest, most polite little cat 🥺 we’ve been besties for a long time and I love her to bits 💕
