Zac Posen Eartha Iconic Leather Bag
For the pocketbook gazette part 2
It should not be a surprise that OWAVMFGF’s (not changing that to MFW until we get proof of some sort instead of assumptions) four fans are focused once again on why those of us who don’t care for her dislike her. The problem with everything they suggest is that they’ve never actually listened to a Michael fan, or asked WHY she’s unliked. So they get it wrong. Allow me to correct ...
The problem with OWAVMFGF does not come from some sort of deep seeded jealousy that she got the man that people delusionally believe they could snag if only she didn’t get him first. In fact, if you really listen, most say they think he’s hot but would not WANT him for a serious relationship. Lets be honest - there’s not enough penicillin. The problem with her is also not that she’s a curveless girl ... or even that she’s boring and as was recently described by another brillantly - the human form of mashed potatoes. Honestly, the problem is not with OWAVMFGF at all.
The problem that detractors of the couple have is who Michael is when he’s with her. In a truly great couple, both halves are made better being around the other. That’s not the case with Michael. What drew most of us to Michael (aside from his being hot) was that stories about him told of a humble hard working guy who wasn’t interested in the trappings of fame. He didn’t have a lot of famous friends, choosing instead to rely on the guys he grew up with as his closest friends. He was silly and goofy, did and said things a publicist would not tell him to do, had a lot of fun ... and of course was so humble that he still lived in the one bedroom Hackney apartment that he bought before becoming famous.
After OWAVMFGF, he started buying into the trappings of fame. He was seen hanging out with a party crowd of her friends, going on constant vacations, identifying himself with luxury brands, got rid of the humble home replacing it with a 5 bedroom apartment allowing entirley too many details of the home to be shared. In short, he went from this humble guy who had success but you wouldn’t know it from seeing his day to day life to a guy who was okay with PR bragging about the riches in his life. And then of course, the cherry on top of this personality transplant - two trips to Ibiza to make sure the world took note of extravagant partying ways.
I can hear it now - this being spun as my somehow suggesting that after working hard Michael should not enjoy it. Not saying that in the slightest. Admirable successful people are humble about their accomplishments - they enjoy them quietly. Those who don’t deserve admiration brag about their riches (see Donald Trump and the Kardashians).
Is it OWAVMFGF’s fault that he’s changed so much, or has he always had it in him and Paula did a really good job of hiding it? We’ll never know. But she’s so closely associated with the change that the association with it makes them an unlikable couple. He’d be unlikable behaving like that with any women - even one who was charismatic and had curves.
Nice to see the trolls and the small minded, intellectually challenged haters back on Purse Forum…they’ve changed thread though…

For the pocketbook gazette ...
It’s a big day for the four OWAVMFGF fans at the pocketbook gazette. They have reason to be genuinely excited. When stars you’re a fan of do something you’ve been anticipating, it’s exciting.
However, instead of just celebrating the moment, they’ve been showing their true colors and getting a little smug. Not a surprising behavior -- after all, they are fans of OWAVMFGF so smug is seen as an admirable quality. In their high-fiving and prosecco drinking, they’ve been giving plenty of time to pointing out the ways that others in fandom have been wrong. I’m not familiar with this as a traditional way to celebrate a wedding weekend, but apparently in other cultures it is. Who am I to disrespect the customs of others. I’ll join in. They want to point out where others have been wrong, allow me to point out how in doing so, they admit how they’ve been wrong.
Lets go to the obvious one first - their insistence that blind gossip is always made up BS, and that blind gossip websites will publish anything. This is the wrong week to make that claim in light of the Weinstein story. His behavior was reported by blind gossip for years. For many, it was the only safe way to tell their stories. Girls, you are wrong when you dismiss blind gossip as jealous lunacy.
Second - the home in Lisbon. You girls have been quite excited talking about the love nest since Michael mentioned it in a few interviews. The problem with this of course is the number of posts where you’ve talked about Micheal and Alicia settling down in their London love nest ... or is it the lovely home in the English countryside? In fact, some of the articles telegraphing this Ibiza weekend talked about those homes. You can’t have it both ways - when you talk about Michael no longer living in London you are either admitting you were wrong to believe that, OR you’re suggesting he won’t live with his new wife.
Let’s keep going - number 3 - the notion that this is a private couple who refuses to sell their private life for fame. There are a lot of beautiful beaches that host private weddings all over the world. The pictures coming out for this weekend could make someone believe that the last trip to Ibiza was a test run to determine which locations paps would get the best pics to publicize a wedding. They made sure people kept an eye on Ibiza in October. They returned to the same spots where pictures came out clear. They’ve ensured people they want to be seen with walk out to spots that can be photographed. They are using the occasion of the weekend for publicity. There’s nothing wrong with that - lots of celebrities use their weddings for publicity. But it’s deluded to continue the narrative that they are a private couple.
While I’m at it, allow me to cover the statement made by me that was called out today by the pocketbook post - the thinking that an October wedding was unlikely due to Snowman promotion and the difficulty his sister would have getting away from a teaching schedule in the middle of a quarter. My thinking turned out to be wrong. Since Michael has a track record of working hard to sell his movies, I thought he’d do that ... he didn’t. And his sister clearly figured out how to get away from work to travel half way around the world to be there for her brother - as a good sister does. Now I’ll point out, I wasn’t wrong about him not getting married without her present - just the degree of difficulty she’d have in making the trip. But being wrong about that leads to a reason the pocketbookers were wrong ... if the sister can figure out how to travel from California to Spain for a weekend celebration, that means that OWAVMFGF could have figured out how to travel from South Africa to Ireland for Michael’s birthday celebration.
I think it’s a mistake to declare people who don’t dare to express fandom in the same way you do as deluded. I think it’s a mistake to get so smug in pointing out when people who don’t fall in line adoring the people you do guess things wrong. At the end of the day we’re all fans making observations. Smart, humble people, make guesses and accept that some are right and some are wrong. It’s a better way to live than the insecure alternative.
Lastly, I know it seems strange to talk about another forum here. It wouldn’t be my first choice, but they shield themselves from hearing viewpoints they don’t approve of by banning people who don’t fall in line, and shutting down the ability to comment openly. So I use the forum where I can speak my mind ... and will note that I don’t block them from openly responding because I’m not afraid of opposing points of view.
Why are the Askars stans so obsessed with you? They follow every. single. thing. you do on here and make sure to block anyone who likes any of your posts. I noticed that I can't reblog the main stans anymore and all I have done is liked some of your posts. Don't they have better things to do? Sad.
Sorry you’ve been blocked Anon. I’m impressed the Stans have so much free time that they can comb through every Alex post and go out of their way to block any blog that liked something they disagreed with.
The most rabid Stans feel it’s their duty to fight for Alex’s honor on the internet. They’ve even discussed the best strategy to do so. From signing up for accounts on gossip sites to counter remarks made by casual observers to going out of their way to attack writers of the “Tarzan is having issues” stories. Their main goal is to shutdown any slightly negative discussion of Alex. They want to continue to believe he’s just a sweet man from Sweden who’s not about the Hollywood life.
They specifically hate “The Last Word” because we allow people to express themselves. Posters who never felt comfortable commenting on Purse Forum or SD post freely with us. As those sites have seen their posts and membership drop we continue to thrive. They’re upset that we see Alex as a person with flaws. You can like him but not like everything he does.
