It's crucial to know and understand what makes you feel secure. Failure to understand yourself can lead to choas and pain. Sometimes we fall into the trap of loving others beyond what we are capable within our own strength. This often was modelled in childhood and we grow up with a wrong idea of self sacrifice especially in the church setting. Jesus said we must love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Far too many times we neglect ourselves for the sake of loving others. This is not healthy. Regret, resentment and bitterness will grow from this place of tainted love. Today I encourage you to evaluate the boundaries in your life. Ask yourself the touch questions. Now reinforce or replace healthy boundaries. P. How do you balance your relationship with God and everything else in your life? How do you choose the things of God over the things of the world? How do you stand up for Christ in the face of persecution, social agendas, bad influence, friends, leaders? How do you do it!? How do you do!? .... . On top of the Mount of Beatitudes in Israel, I saw this stone on the pathway that said, “Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” This is the beatitude that is found in Matthew 5:10. Never be ashamed of the Gospel! Never be afraid of the price you have to pay to stand up for Jesus. And if you have to stand alone, stand alone because God is with you!
