WEEK 1
Hello Loves!
So my journey has officially begun. I had a great birthday weekend in Vermont, but I was really excited to come back home and begin #projectpushmylimits.
I started the week off by taking my first set of photos which I can look back on to see my progress every month. My main goals mentally throughout this journey are to feel good about myself and my body and really build up my mental strength (will power). Physically, I want to see myself look like a healthy 20 year old that LIKES to take care of her body. I also want a butt lol.
In all honesty, I’m not quite proud of my first week, but that’s okay. I didn’t just give up on my goals because the first week wasn’t a “success”. Everyday is a new day.
I went to the gym twice in the first week, which is 2 days short of my weekly goal. I ate at whatever time was convenient, although my goal is to intermittent fast (which has been an easy habit in the past). And I didn’t stick to my dietary goals either because my fridge wasn’t stocked up and I had 2 more birthday brunch and dinner celebrations with friends/family.
I don’t think I failed because this is only the beginning. I am not trying to restrict myself from natural cravings and punish myself if I give in. I want to do this in a mentally and physically healthy way. I’m trying to start living a new lifestyle, not follow some diet. It will take time, it will take will power and determination, and there will be some days where I will let my PMS-ing self enjoy a couple donuts or a couple slices of pizza. I am listening to my body, but I am also challenging it.
Today marks the first day of week 2 and I’ve deemed it a great day and an awesome step in the right direction. I did hella cardio at the gym. I ate healthy, satisfying meals in my 8 hour intermittent fasting span. And I had a rather productive day on top of that (cleaned my apartment, planned my week, took some time for self care, etc). I would also like to thank my best friend Magda, who is joining me on this journey, for keeping me in check everyday, love you girl.
So, here’s to week 2! Ready to really #pushmylimits these next couple of days and I’ll report back next week!
xx Claudia
